I was reading this stupid article on ZeroHedge about a Proxy War with China. In the portphillio pricks ideas, the war will be with Taiwan in US backing and China as the antagonist like Russia in Ukraine.
As I stated this is stupid, as Taiwan has been promised arms, but the US has not provided them. This is stupid as there is not any way to resupply Taiwan as in Ukraine. This is stupid because Taiwan will be buckled into starvation and the lack of computer chips will buckle the western markets further This is stupid because China does not want to obliterate Taiwan as it is China and full of goodies.
War destroys things.

The State Dpt removed from their website the fact they recognize that Taiwan is part of China (under PRC gvt) and that they don't support Taiwan independence.

There simply is not a base for a proxy war with China, unless it is Japan. Again nuclear weapons or conventional weapons rocking Japan and the Japanese economy will tank and pull the plug on the West.
While it is true the Pentagon desires an island war in the Pacific to fight China, this is what a proxy war would be, wide scale as in Japan in 1942. China is moving into the Solomon Islands for siege warfare as Japan to annex Australia.
In that, if there were a location for a proxy war, it would be China invading Australia. That would make sense, but China would need Indochina to supply that move, which is what Japan accomplished and was stopped at the Coral Sea.
North Korea will not allow itself to be turned into a proxy war and the West in electronics can not allow South Korea. Is the son of Marcos coming to power for such an American forward base in the Philippines? Possibly, but that is not a proxy war.
If it were a real proxy war, the war would involve Tibet, Pakistan and the Muslims of China on the southern border. There is the country, the supply line and the reasoning to pull China for it's communications to enter Afghanistan and Iran to cut it off and kill a portion of it's forces there.
A sea war has one purpose and that is to cut Chinese supply. Xi has already cut supply to the world in his isolation over Covid, and China is looking to Russia for coal and oil, so that is a product one reason to cut China off and that is food, food and food from the sea.
That is the war and China knows this, and therefore it would be stupid for Peking to be goaded into a sea war. As this blog stated, if China laid thermonuclear mines from the South China to Fukishima, then there is the blockade which bankrupts America in this resupply effort as thee American Dominoes fall and that is how Taiwan falls, not by China attacking for this stupid proxy war from someone who thinks they have things figured out again.
Yes America would like Xi or his replacement to attack. It will not happen though. Watch though the Peking Politburo meeting. New policy has been put forward recently, the Pol has voted on it, and this will then move to the autumn where the Chinese policy will then be acted upon for the next 5 years. When war comes with China, it will be after this, and when China comes, it will be with waves of devastating force as that is how China engages.
Taiwan is bait. Taiwan is not a proxy war. All of these Asians are fodder. That is their only value in they will die from these policies.
