War is an obscenity. I can say that and it will confuse every reader, even those who have been in the military, because being in the military is not being in combat. For all of the Combat Infantry Badges handed out, most Americans have never been in real combat due to Americans shielding themselves behind massive long range weapon's systems.
As Ukraine has begun the actual shooting of World War IV, it is time for Americans to begin to become educated in what war is really.
The greatest failure of thee American political and military system was at a place called Okinawa Japan. This failure took place in 1945 AD in the year of our Lord. The failure was the public no longer caring about war as "victory" had occurred in Europe over the White race Germans. The failure occurred in the media and government censors in not telling the public what was taking place on Okinawa for 82 days. The failure was in Frank Roosevelt and then Harry Truman for splitting the military leadership at Okinawa in a Navy Admiral in command in Chester Nimitz and an Army General on the ground in Simon Buckner, commanding National Guard troops out of New York whose leadership was a failure and the Marines whose leadership failed.
The failure was in the Army going slow in combat and the Marines going fast in combat, and the Japanese under General Ushijima having dug into coral formations to fight an above ground exposed American military from caves.
The failure was in the Japanese nationalists who took Japan not into war, but into a suicidal ending. The failure was in the Emperor in having taught his subjects to die for him rather than fail him.
It is impossible to comprehend the amount of bombs and shells which were dropped on Okinawa by Americans. Bombs ploughed and burned thee entire central and southern part of Okinawa. Bombs fell so heavy that no one could venture out of a cave and not be killed. This was thee most immense presentation of firepower on the planet. It has never been equaled, Nowhere on earth has been bombed more than Okinawa Japan.
The Japanese fought viciously and savagely. Their lessons transformed the Americans who were veterans of other battles in Iwo Jima and Guadalcanal into as vicious and savage fighters. What was transforming in Okinawa was no longer war. It was terror of the mind and heart, where both sides were so frightened they would shit themselves. Okinawa above ground became a stench of blood, shit, piss and rotting body parts. Below ground Okinawa became a stench of blood, pus, rotting humans, piss and shit. It was unhealthy beyond the war as it was a rotting cesspool.
The tragedy of Okinawa was the Frank Roosevelt marginalizing General Douglas MacArthur in not being in command of the land forces, meaning the Marines of the Navy. General Buckner had the Army way of fighting and that was to send out Marines to scout, who would be slaughtered, then dig in, call for massive bombardments, attempt to take the same ground, and then repeat the same process for weeks of failure and death.
It literally took American troops on the ground in facing the withering fire of the Shuri Line to figure out that every Japanese position was firing to protect the other position. It was impossible to defeat one hill in a charge. You had to defeat two other hills to get the hill you wanted. You had to defeat every hidden sniper, every hidden machine gun nest, every hidden mortar cave and every hidden artillery cave.
American firepower killed and slaughtered to degrade the Japanese troops, but the shelling was hundreds of shells for each dead Japanese. This took more than a month of attrition, all the while Americans were being butchered and slaughtered too.
One of the few times General MacArthur ever publicly challenged military or political leadership, he did so concerning Okinawa. His assessment after the battle was that the military should have just taken the north which it did, but then cordoned off the south and let the Japanese stay in their caves, as Americans flew bomber missions off the airfields in the north. The meatgrinder which Americans were put through, would have been avoided and the Japanese would have been starved to the suicides they were committing anyway.
It was after the Shuri Line was broken that the real failures of Washington and Tokyo manifested in their troops. Okinawa civilians were not just slaughtered by both sides, they were raped, robbed and driven from shelters.
In one of thee most disgusting realities of Okinawa, a group of Negro soldiers kidnapped Okinawa girls, put them into a boat, took them out to sea, gave them the choice of being raped or swimming back. After the 8 Negroes had gang raped the little girls, they threw them over the side and they drown.
Okinawans, always were terrified of Negroes as they said, the Whites would try and rape you and give up, but the Negroes would keep chasing you until they caught you and all they did was rape.'
The Japanese raped and murdered too in a frenzy as command structure was obliterated. In one of many incidents a Japanese murdered two children of a mother, then raped her, then cut off her head. He was captured at the scene wounded, and ordered to be carried back to be treated at an American hospital. The Soldiers deliberately dropped the rapist and broke his leg. What is puzzling about this, in the numbers of Japanese and Okinawans that Americans were murdering, why this rapist was not just shot.
For Americans, having been subjected to the failures of their military and political system, in their having brains and gore of their buddies blown out on them, a psychosis was let loose as much as the Japanese kamakazi. The worst were the roaming bands of Rednecks in souvenir hunters and the recently arrived replacements from the States. As the Japanese positions in the south of Okinawa were smaller and smaller, Japanese would in committing suicide, pretend to surrender and then try to kill as many Americans as they could.
The result that took place is those few who did try and surrender were shot on sight and if not, they were led behind American lines and executed. This may not sound like the American propaganda has taught you in what Americans are. The fact is as the Japanese and Okinawans, fled to the coral beaches cutting them wide open, as Japanese in the water and on beaches, starving, dehydrated, wounded, were shot like rats by Americans by the thousands.
Mass suicides, mass murders, mass denial by those in command, of the responsibility for this psychotic break.
The greatest mistake of the Japanese high command was to not provide munitions to Okinawa, and mistaking American invasion plans for Formosa. The greatest mistake of the American high command was striking Okinawa, and not Taiwan as their bomber platform.
If the Japanese had adequate forces to defend Okinawa, the United States would have run out of bodies to fight the war. American firepower failed completely against Japanese hard defenses. It killed people well enough at great expense, but it failed in the structure.
Why these events matter is there will be like situations in the coming war. Life will be cheap and cheapened.
These Americans came back to America. They bred, had children and their same heroic roots will produce like results. There are now worse political and military leadership as has been proven in this wokester few.
