This is a product review, in I have no idea how I ended up with this Revereware pressure cooker. It was either JYG's trailer, his junkyard or the quarter sale at the Thrift. I picked it up not being impressed, but it was basically a new kettle.
This thing is unique and high tech, it has a rubber seal, but the clamp is to just turn the lid 45 degrees and then back it locks into place without any locks.
The pressure is regulated by a little nob you turn from 5 to 15 pounds. You bring it up to steam, flip it over to keep the steam and it works marvelously.
I have used this for processing broccoli and cauliflower. Just bring it up to steam and 5 minutes of pressure and you have your veggies done.
I am amazed in I thought like most people this was just a junk contraption when instead I really like this thing. I see them on Ebay for 20 bucks, as I said mine was free or cost a quarter, and this was a really good deal.
I have no idea about replacement rubbers, but I plan on using this for quick processing garden vegetables. It is a light year above my Presto 40's from that early era.
This is really a remarkable creation and if you see one cheap, pick it up.
