Today the Lame Cherry is providing Spiritual education by the Grace of God's Holy Ghost in how to receive that which you pray for.
I realize that we all have had things easy and thing which were impossible in receiving from God. I am not going to say you asked amiss or God has not yet moved to give you what you asked. Instead, I am going to explain something to you in the matter of Faith.
Faith is something you believe will happen. Faith though comes by hearing the Word of God. What this has to do with each of you Christians is, your words are usually limiting and harmful. God's Word always goes out and accomplishes the full extent of what He said. The Bible is that Word and you are instructed to read, ponder that Word and meditate upon that Word.
The reason is it is Life Giving even when you repeat it, because this is God's Word which accomplishes all.
Think of it this way. You want a Spiritual Gift, like knowing things. When you look in the Bible about Spiritual Gifts, you start finding examples of God's Word in action and accomplishing that Gift.
Now onto your responsibility in this.
I am going to use a verse the Holy Ghost has frequently been giving me. I do not just read a verse and accept it. I go to a Lexicon or Bible Hub, and I invest the time to study what the Words mean in the complete context that God said them.
In this example, I wanted to know the phrase "shall not come" as that is important to me in not being harmed. When in these various verses, the context is about HARM, and yet when one starts researching the context, harm is not even factored in. Instead the word NOT is what is the focus and it is a primitive root word of LO, an adverb, meaning an enhancement of an action. NOT in this context is so complete that it is decisive, written in stone. There are no doubts about this word in what it means, so I would not have any doubts.

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
New King James Version
A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.
That is where this then begins inside of me, as I trust the Lord. I trust this definition of His Word. I know absolutely that the context of this word is so thorough that when it states NO HARM, it means a Law like an apple falling from a tree by gravity or the sun coming up. This is going to happen in NO HARM ever coming to those God promises this to.
This is what adds to the foundation and structure of Faith. I do not just have the Phrase, I have the meaning of that Phrase in the Word of God in how absolute it is. I keep this and in joy this pleases me, as I trust God and I know that He does not lie.
It is the Faith though of Witnesses in telling the Babylonian King that God would not allow them to be harmed in the fiery furnace, to add, EVEN IF GOD DOES NOT DELIVER US BY HIS CHOICE WE ARE NOT GOING TO GO AGAINST GOD.
That is my Faith. I like many of you who decided not to be vaxed, took a stand of Faith. We were going to trust in the Lord to deliver us, and if God's decision was beyond what we knew for our lives in Him, then by God, we had His Promise that we were going to be with Him if we died.
That is Faith in a Christian is not going to dissolve the bond between God and them no matter what. We may keep hitting an issue in ask and keep asking, knock and keep knocking and search and keep searching, but we are not going to doubt that God has abundant favor for us in every situation.

I confess and profess my Faith. God knows everything, but when I pray before Him, I explain as much as the Creed, I BELIEVE IN GOD THE FATHER ALMIGHTY. That is my confession in I believe God. I believe God that NO HARM will come near me. I profess as my profession, my job as a student of Jesus the Christ and our Father, that He will carry me through everything.
The more I say it, the more I pray it, the more I add to the rock solid structure of Faith in God, that what He says is absolute for me. I mould myself to His Law as discipline to the gifts of a peaceful life and I condition myself in the Faith of His Word.
If you want something from God, then you find the verses, and you go in and study the Hebrew and Greek of each word, so you know the entire context of what God is Speaking. This is as trustworthy as when the IRS says they are giving you a refund. As the IRS can be trusted to do good, God can be trusted to do even more good.
It is a prayer of, "God You promised this. I believe it. I was helped by the Holy Ghost to understand every word, the context and the content, and I know what this means, and I believe you, will make this happen for me."
You should be filled with Joy at this. You now have the tools to presenting a complete prayer to God on complete Faith in the Word of God. Joy that you will receive without any doubts, because you understand and accept completely what God said.
You get into a car and expect it to start. You put a key in your door lock and expect it to open. You look out the window and expect to see the sun. God made all those things and devices. As you trust in them, Trust in the Lord with your whole being.
