Former Czech Army Chief of Staff General Jiří Šedivý called the German Leopard tanks supplied to Ukraine “overrated” on March 31 in an interview with Czdefence magazine.
According to him, German Leopard tanks are not a “miracle weapon” at all and are overrated.
“The Turks used Leopards in operation in Syria against the Islamic State (organization banned in Russia) and lost at least ten units in just a few operations,” the general said.
On March 29, 2023, the Portuguese Ministry of Defense announced the transfer to Ukraine of three Leopard 2 tanks of the A6 modification.
According to the German Defense Ministry, 18 Leopard 2 A6 tanks were delivered to Ukraine on March 27, 2023.
Not all that glitters is a tank. From as early as World War II, the world was figuring out how to stop the World War I doomsday machine. It is kind of symbiotic as all things in nature. The infantry needed the tanks for the protective fire which the tanks could provide.
That is the problem in Ukraine with the Nazi. The Russians have a modern network of jets, helicopters and drones. They have artillery. They have radar. They have missiles. They also have infantry and tanks. The Ukraine tanks do not have the luxury of fixed positions or air cover for movement of columns. They will have to move on the Russian lines, and that exposes them. They will have to move fast. Soldiers on foot do not move 45 miles per hour.
When the last major tank battle in history was undertaken in Iraq between Russian and American tanks. The Americans emerged victorious, because American targeting systems were a few seconds faster than the old Soviet tanks. Thee American tanks emerged victorious, because Saddam Hussein did not have any screening infantry or artillery to deal with thee American tanks. Battles are won because the victor has degraded the opponents ability to protect the victorious asset structure.
Tanks need frail people to protect them. The Nazi of Ukraine do not have the training of infantry to effectively protect the tanks. In all honesty, tanks are about as worthless as all what NATO has supplied the Nazi of Kiev.
NATO had two years to train the Nazi of Kiev. Russian conscripts systematically cut down and destroyed all NATO was in 10 months. They had tanks, and the tanks were destroyed. More tanks and more NATO is not going to solve this, in the numbers which are offered.NATO could give 5000 tanks to Kiev, and they do not have the fuel, the air cover, the logistics or the training to attain a victory.
I would ask you to do and experiment sometime. On a checker board, put 4 crowns on it, and leave the other 12 the normal checkers. Play the game and you will find out, that the all powerful crowns will be overcome by the one dimensional checkers every time.
The German lancers, without anti tank weapons, and just their infantry, did a remarkable job against Soviet tanks, even with infantry protection. The Nazi of Kiev are not the German fighters of that era. Warfare is a mechanized dimensional organism. What Ukraine is by design is a faulty design. Seriously, do you think for a moment that NATO wanted Ukraine to emerge as a power which defeated Russia, and then took over Russian lands and resources, because Kiev would be Moscow in a few years, unleashing a worse problem as these cartel Ashkejew would have nuclear and biological capabilities without the Christian Orthodox restraints that the Russian has.
