I'm Bathsheba. You're just Gregory Peck.
I started with real stars like John Wayne.
Thank you for yesterday's first article on the subterfuge David faced. Finally got out of California. Hopefully will get home to iowa tomorrow if the rockies let me through
As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.
I have 3 parts of the Bible which intrigue me. The 3rd is Haman and his demise, the second is David's saga and the first is the Spiritual plotting which brought about the death of Ahab in a physical world.
NS mentioned David in his note, but I did not mention another part of David which is one more baffling thing in this. David had the Henry Kissinger adviser of the world, he was the wisest and best. He just happened to be either the grandfather or father of Bathsheba.
One would think that the family ties in this would unite. Uriah was a Hittite, not even an Israelite, but yet when the revolt of Absolum took place, this family member to King David, not only sided with the insurrectionist son, but advised him perfectly how to overthrow the kingdom.
David was fleeing for his life with a few loyalists and in this moment, some of David's people started giving other advice to Absolum in waiting to attack David and his entourage. This would save David's life.
It was at this point that this Bathsheba relative, not having his advice taken. went home and committed suicide. I have no idea what so filled this man with hatred of David, as having the King as your family was a good trade off, but there must have been something at work here about honor as he was willing to see the king dead.
There is another part in this which I have written of,in David has two loyalists who got really a bad deal in Jonathan son of Saul and his cousin Joab. In God's plan Jonathan had to die or there would have been civil war, again Mephibosheth caused trouble for David in the uprising. The other in Joab, gets blamed for executing generals Amasa, Abner and Absolum, when the fact is it kept David's hands blood free, and these people had to die. One of the generals event challenged one of Saul's son by taking one of the king's wives. If Joab had not been the grim reaper, David would have had real problems and probably died himself. As it was Philistines killed Jonathan and Joab was slain by David's executioner seeking sanctuary in the Temple.
Fairness does not seem to be a part of God. People are instruments of purpose, like Judas was in making his choices. I have no idea what was in the heart of Jonathan or Joab or this kindred of Bathsheba, but their purpose was to not survive by their position and station.
I face each day with one purpose, to work for God, in my best effort and to trust in His Will that how I live and suffer or how I die and have reproach is the Lord's Will, and I accept it. I just happen to be the well used shit pot. No one else wants the job, so I have my use in the Lord.
I think I would like California after the quakes and the war, ending the population there. It will be good to be home. I was just telling TL about the rolling hills of northwest Iowa in how pretty that country is. River breaks always are.
A watched pot never boils and waiting for a new freezer to turn off is too long, or it is a phone call to the retailer tomorrow to remedy the situation with more heavy work from us.
