Sometimes I'm purposely dense, because I simply do not care about a subject and that is something I should care about, as people do come here to read things and sort things out.
The subject here is Ghost Guns and 3D printing.
Now that I am starting to focus on this and sort things out, it will all make sense as the Lame Cherry breaks this down as the Federal Courts have been ordering Bidencon and the BATFE to stop writing laws which infringe upon rights as only Congress has that authority.

Headlines in the press are always bullshit and made to be that way. OK here is the short of it.
A ghost gun is nothing out of the ordinary. America was founded on ghost guns. Most guns were ghost guns before the 1968 Firearm Infringement Act. All it means is that a Citizen makes a firearm on their own. That is termed a Gunsmith. and when I wrote to the ATF, they said about filling out Form 1, which is not a form really, but a 200 dollar fine so you can make a firearm from scratch.
A ghost gun though is a gun in which you get a kit, in this case all receivers of the functional part of a firearm that makes it go BANG, leaves a record, while the other parts like barrel and stock are just shipped through the mail.
It is like putting together a Chinese furniture........takes some time and some fitting and you end up with a chair.
The other "Gun" is the 3 D printed gun. I was talking to TL about this as that made no sense to me why in hell there was all that interest in a picture of a gun being illegal. That is the dense part of not caring as the computer makes the image and then it transfers it to like a cake decorating kit of how they make Boeing jets, and you end up with a plastic gun.

OK this sounds like someone is pouring a plastic gun and it is something John Dillinger would use to hold up banks. No, this is a plastic gun, and the ammo is highly low pressure so the gun does not blow up. You still need rifling in the barrel to have the bullet hit something, and these guns "work" for two shots before they are going to blow the users head off.
These are replicas, and Glock has made a great deal of money with plastic part guns, but you still need the functioning part of a weapon to be steel for the punishment of an explosion when a cartridge is fired. That means a barrel and the base the barrel is seated into.
That hybrid Elon Musk could make plasic engines for his Teslas, but having engines that fired with fuel they would blow up or melt down in a minute. You can't make a plastic gun anymore than a plastic engine in a car.
So Ghost Guns are not 3 D guns, and 3 D guns are not Ghost Guns.
I think it is marvelous and I would love it some Star Trek plastic was available so I could pour a Winchester 92 in 45 Long Colt. Be neat to have a gun in an hour or so, but that is not how it works in the real world.
There is allot of out of the envelop physics that goes on in a firearm when it is fired. Vibrations, heat, stretching, opposite and equal reactions and even the best guns will wear out eventually just like a car engine, as this is a very dynamic process. Plastic just does not work at normal working pressures.
Honestly, a pipe and a few products like a spring and a cap would make a better pistol and they have been made. Not quicksdraw fast or accurate, but they will work allot longer than plastic.
Actually some states like Kristi pedo protector Noem of South Dakota are trying to give a big FU to the BATFE over making firearms in their own states, and as long as they do not cross state lines, they are not subject to federal regulations. No one has wanted to spend 10 years in prison or invest millions of dollars in a shop like this to prove Noem and others right.
I deem all of this political hype as the old hype of Manchurians created to shoot up schools to bankrupt Alex Jones was not working out, so things just get made up in print as the Dictator is out waving gun parts around like a lunatic, and having the Dictator as the lone lunatic is easier to deal with as they can put him back into coma at night.
That is why I never paid attention or wrote about this stuff for years as I knew by Inspiration it was bullshit and the only thing I was self dense on was the 3 D printing, which was the Mockingbird being diversionary again as this was about 3 D manufacturing......not printing.
I have to go now and do something important like maybe nap as it is still HAARP winter as I write this in March........sun is so hot it burns, Stratosphere winds are cold, and they have to wait for the sun to go down to make it 20 something degrees to make it snow.
