The Roto Cherry

As another Lame  Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

Years ago I came across an article on Farm Show about a farmer who had put a 1/2 HP motor on a Craftsman rototiller that had a gas engine on it.

Back in that era, I was terrified of bread dough and I was intimidated by internal combustion engines, especially 2 stroke engines, as my only association was with old engines which had never been cared for and never ran.

Things have changed as Stephanie and I are not Bread Masters, and with the Tractor Whisperer and JYG, I actually man handle engines and by Lord God, sometimes they do run.

JYG finally provided us with an old rototiller, missing half it's handle, has an old Briggs engine which has carb damage and missing things, and the pull cord is out, but I fell in love with this engine and I will get it running again.

The working plans on this, as I do things like this by Inspiration and Trust in the Lord as I have little idea thing will work, but when finished, by God it works. I should build a ship to Mars, as I would get there too like a walk to Grandpas in HAARP winter.

The following is the proof pudding of the work I engaged in front to back. I do plan to pain this.......I think now red.

OK the simple of this. I used a Chinaman 2 horsepower motor. OK some thing you need to get straight as it is fondness of mine. Engines run on gas, are trebuchets or run on steam. Motors run on electricity. Is like men and women, you can't have a woman with testicles or a man with a womb.

Here is some fun. I wired this using heavy sump pump 3 strand, coloured wire. I needed heavy wire for he heavy loads as I did not want overheating or fuses blown.

I had got a fuse box with a switch as I wanted extra fuse blow protection, as the engine has an red breaker reset button too, as the the switch would help the tiller from walking away from me. I think I might leave the switch off as I don't think I need it. Might have to rethink, but that may now be later as I need a mount box to mount this switch I have ascertained now.

I used pressure treated wood to mount this with carriage bolts. The Farm Show used a wood platform and long bolts to mount their motor, and put in tension on the belt. My Wards model is tight with the 2 inch boards I used as that is the "adjustment.

I'm impressed with this creation. I plan on bother JYG or the Tractor Whisperer to get another tiller, as I think I have 5, two running, one soon to be, one probably, and only one electric. I want two electrics as I need the outside pulley for this, as the other Wards model has some vertical rubber wheel thing, that is not kosher for this.

I did break the cast pulley on the Briggs, as my pulley puller was out of reach.  I used a 2 or 2  1/2 inch pulley with key and the speed was correct on a 3400 + rpm Chinaman motor.

I opted not for the Wards clutch. Would be nice, but I did not have time to engineer this further. Had to plant the garden and HAARP delayed spring until summer arrived.

I just need to get one or a few of these before this publishes as once knowledge is provided by Lame Cherry, things disappear and everyone wants to be like this popular girl in looking smart.

I got an engine to get running so that is all I have time to enlighten you at the moment.

Million dollar knowledge.

This is how million dollar knowledge looks with red hot paint and LC Manufacturing not incorporated newly designed JYG proof handles.
