Much has been made of Western technology. Yet Russia defeated it all with human resources. It killed enemy positions. It killed tanks. Hell it could kill helicopters. What happens when you drop a 2 million dollar missile or it gets rained on and froze? It will not function. What happens with an M40 lays out in the tundra? You pick it up, make sure the barrel is clear, load it and kill your enemy.
America no longer has any of these cost effective systems. Their 105 Howitzers now are so light, so overcharged with super shells, that they break. Instead of developing a warfare system which benefits from the normal properties of the Howitzer, it has instead been souped up, costs a fortune and it is not dependable.
The Russians have proven they can defeat American systems by overloading them with cheap drones, which use up defenses and then strike with their precision weapons. The Yemeni are doing the same thing.
