Backing Forward

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

In waiting around for rich people to donate, I was faced with a reality that I had to get the horse trailer that JYG sold us welded, and as it is a big trailer, and the welder has an extension cord, I still needed to get it moved closer than 100 yards.

In thinking on things, the Holy Ghost said, "As this is a 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer, and you do not have a truck with the correct set up in the box, put a ball hitch on the front of the small loader the Super MTA has and use the loader to lift the trailer front and steer it like that."

JYG preaches about mounting ball hitches on the front of skid steers, tractors, pick ups, anything, including women as it makes parking trailers easier. So we went to see JYG and he was gone, cleaning out some house in another town as we had seen him driving by with an electric oven on a trailer as we got into town.

As we were about to leave, he showed up, and dug through things and for 25 bucks he sold me the hitch, the large ball for the trailer and saved us a bunch of money again, shopping at 1980 prices.

I was thinking about welding the hitch on the bucket scoop but that would make it permanent and this is a nice hitch that I can use for other things. Seeing to large holes in the hitch built for bolting it to things what I did was drill two large holes in the bottom of the loader scoop, bolt on the hitch and away I would go with the trailer, to get it welded as I need to get that done.

It is so much easier to drive forward, in steering a trailer going backwards. That is something everyone should remember as most people can not back worth their life. JYG and I being Brier children, can back things and actually drive about as fast in reverse as we can forward. I think I amaze TL in that ability, but it is just something you learn and do in rural areas as you have to chase cattle, turn around quick and whatever and sometimes you do not have time to turn around.

Now I'm not going to be moving this trailer with 10 cows on board. This is just to move it as the thing is heavy and I will do it slow as to not break this light loader that is on the Super MTA, but this is the fix until God comes up with the long anticipated remedy of a truck or tractor that I have been praying on and He is working out, in probably having piles of pieces of satan dead and I can then just go pick things up for free as a spoil.

By drilling holes in this quarter inch metal, or burning the holes with a torch, I will not have to unhook the battery so the welder does not fry the electronics. I have never had that happen on any tractor or vehicle, but they always warn that and in this reality, I have one less thing to someone how wrong in my removable hitch.

That though is the lesson in things. You are going to have to figure things out, and you are going to have to have a JYG with things on hand, and have a friend like him to get you the things before someone else gets them.
