JYG and I were discussing his 1530 B Case Uniloader.

Two years ago Big Dumbie dad, had brought one of their skid steers to JYG to fix. They had overhauled the water cooled Ford industrial engine, and JYG got the thing running and everything else working. He sent it home..........I think Big Dumbie broke it in 15 minutes.
JYG traded for it a few years later for like 700 bucks in scarp metal.
OK, now the fun began as JYG worked on this for months again.
He put in two wheel bearing seals. He put in 500 dollars worth of hydraulic seals for the lifting arms.
He moved it.....the chain sprocket was making a sound.
He used it. No power to turn, Then he probably stuck in 150 bucks more in distributor and plugs.
His last statement was "That piece of junk".
OK I get the big donations in God provoking people with money to donate, and I think I want this piece of junk so JYG gets his money back out of it.
OK he is afraid to start that thing after all of this, in case things do not work. I know what that is like in being bogged down in Two Chiefs and Big GMC shit storm.
JYG was looking for how to set the drive chains. I found online they are supposed to be set at 1/8th inch drop. Not allot. Then again that was online and you can't believe the half wits online.
JYG was wondering about asking the Tractor Whisperer about the settings. He does not want to look dumb...........I just get pissed at TW sometimes in ask about getting things done and he fucks around making excuses about other dumb shits, so I get delayed with winter coming no, no donations coming in and my life gets anxiety, high anxiety.
Having enough of that, I invested in a Case 1530 repair manual. This helps JYG in figuring things out, in good will toward us, (Today we helped unwind aluminum high voltage wire from the steel core as it was like a quilting bee as we chatted along. This is what the salvage business does.) and I will have the manual, because as neighbor John said last winter, "Yes this Bobcat is the one before they put all that computer stuff in, so it runs".
Oh yes, they do run without computers.
JYG had a farmer pop in a few months ago who had bought a smaller Case with a small diesel engine........over 4000 dollars. I remember checking last year and you could get these skid steers for around 2000 dollars.
People, like with the old John Deeres in the 3000 and 4000 series, are what they are buying, because they can tear them apart and fix them.........and they run because they DO NOT HAVE COMPUTERS.
JYG has a John Deere skid steer. It quit running last year and he has parked it now, because the damned thing will not run for some reason, with that damned computer it has. It will start, run a few seconds, and if he does that 60 times, it will usually start up and run......yes burning out the starter sooner than later. That is what is out there with all of this computer shit hooked up to engines.
All of these units are going up. The Case which is the original skid steer in the Uniloader doubled in price in a year's time. At present I have a nice little Chevy industrial 4 cylinder engine I'm about to acquire, attached to a swather. No computers. It is a thing in a meltdown which is going to be gold. All of these 50 thousand dollar plus things are going to shut down from EMP or old gas.
I have a Wisconsin engine which I would love to get rid of for 4000 dollars. They are air cooled, but they have to be kept clean or they overheat and shut down. I remember them on old Versatile swathers and Case combines that sat around and no one ever loved a Wisconsin engine. They are not bad engines as they powered America in the transition from horse and steam to gas power. They just at this phase are better off with collectors to wow children with, and these other engines are better suited to these coming needs.
Too many morons junked these engines to China. The good part is all of these vaxed people with money will be dead, and that will leave the few engines around for the attractive people like me.
TW will be dead by then along with the fount of knowing. That is why the manual library. I will keep things running while others are walking.
