The Lame Cherry states this not as an accusation upon the President Elect who has spoken for global Jewry in their problems, but a simple plea for Mr. Trump to remember his German heritage of his fathers, the founders of the Lutheran Church, and how as a people, there are Lutherans in the Mideast who are being harmed by this carte blanche support for the policies of Tel Aviv.
Reverend Isaac of the Lutheran Church, Bethlehem, the nativity of Christ, says it best in the following quote.
Rev. Munther Isaac, the Palestinian pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Christmas Church in Bethlehem, told Arab News that his enduring source of hope is his “faith in God and the resilience of our Palestinian people.”
Isaac, who last Christmas drew global attention after his church displayed a nativity featuring the baby Jesus draped in a keffiyeh amid a heap of rubble, representing the war in Gaza, said he had been taken aback by the worldwide response to his imagery.
“It has been a year since we installed Christ in the rubble in our church here in Bethlehem, and honestly I am shocked and horrified to my core that this war is still going on and that all our efforts, demonstrations around the world, the cries and the images of people, children killed didn’t stop this war,”
Mr. President Elect, everywhere Tel Aviv has attacked with American arms, from Gaza, Lebanon to now Syria, Christians have been slaughtered and harmed. These are the children of Christ. You have spoken of supporting Jewry and expanding the war into bombing Iran. The Ziongelical respose is now in vogue and gaining ground in criminalizing Americans who speak out for peace against Tel Aviv policies.
I am an Evangeligcal not a Ziongelical. An Evangelical carries out the commission of Jesus Christ before ascending to our Father in Heaven. "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost". That is what this blog does, a voice in the wilderness, shining Light in the darkness for the hope of humanity to bring them to the Peace which passes all understanding.
The Lutheran Church in Bethlehem is Evangelical. It is a voice which presents the Gospel to Muslims and to the Jews, to love one another. The Greek Orthodox Church in Gaza was such a Light, bombed by Tel Aviv to rubble.
No one wants to stand before Jesus the Christ and not be able to explain how it is they were blowing up Jesus Churches or why the Christian United States was supplying bombs to blow up Christian Churches and murder Christians with those same American bombs.
You have shown Mr. President Elect an insight that these endless Bush Clinton Obama Biden wars are not working. You have offered peace in Ukraine to stop the Kiev Jewry from the slaughter of Russian Orthodox. Is there not a way which America can be directed, as what began in Gaza, is in Lebanon, the West Bank, Syria and next it will be Iran is the people to be bombed with their Christians there and there will not be an end there as this then goes to Russia and China, where American Christians will be bombed and rotting the rubble as this is not working.
Jesus the Christ changed the world, all without bombing people, all without American bombs, all without internet propaganda or Congress passing laws making criminals of Christians who say that Jews were behind the murder of the Son of God. Mr. President Elect, there is a way without bombs, without bombing Churches, without war. Would you please consider some of that for your Lutherans who voted for you 3 times and have those German Churches in the Mideast yearning for a direction of Peace and not carnage.
It is complicated. It is donors. It is not easy. But somewhere in this, can you please find a way to at least protect the Protestants from being destroyed in the Mideast.
