With the successes on the military front and political front, the year 1864 dawned with an outlook of presidential politics, as the issue concerning of nominating, denying or defeating Abraham Lincoln took to the front as the way to shape the future of America.
For the Rhett's of the South who had instigated the secession and war with their rhetoric, shoving along moderates in the South who were now in a war they really did not want in the first place, the North had it's own firebrands in the radical abolitionists who were calling for the extermination of the Southern Aristocracy as a means of war.
This was early in the war, but now it was 1864. Radical abolitionists had become mainstream as the country moved along politically and what was trumpeted in speeches and columns as a remedy for the Southern traitor, was not making it's way into the US Capitol in speeches.
People were being voted to be thrown out of Congress. Outside Congress they were punching each other and cracking bottles over the other's heads in brawls. What had begun in a Southerner beating Senator Sumner almost to death was now being established 3 years later as a public policy to be unleashed on the South once victory was attained.
Abraham Lincoln was for amnesty and reconstruction, but the driving forces in this now were attune to a different kind of politic.
In late January 1864 AD in the year of our Lord, Stevens rose and addressed the body, stating that the Confederacy was a belligerent and hostile foreign nation. It was then that he laid out what Congress would readjust once victory came.
The innocent would be protected, the least guilty would be pardoned, the leading traitors would be punished, their land seized and estates, sold in simple fee, the money put into the US Treasury to pay the cost of the war, and to make pensions for widows, orphans, crippled soldiers, end slavery, the cause of the war.
Stevens would support President Lincoln in a further comment that while Mr. Lincoln not strike as a direct blow as a battering ram as he would, because Mr. Lincoln was shrewd and would pick at the mortar from the joints until the whole tower of Babel would fall.
Day by day, Stevens with words aimed like a sharpshooter laying out a political end. The Southern ruling class would be exterminated. The Negro would be advanced to citizenship, in wider control if not complete power in the South.
The Southern press would quote Stevens, but in this the Northern press steadily began quoting Thadeus Stevens in editorials to talk on the streets. It was becoming common thought that the leaders of the South from Jefferson David on down would be shot or hung soon.
Into this would appear Indiana Congressman, Godlove S. Orth and in a January spoke of how the oldest lawbooks in human history all proclaimed, "The traitor must die".
He would go on to quote from Blackstone the Anglo Saxon ritual of death for punishing traitors. For those unfamiliar, the ritual follows.
Thee offender would be drawn to the gallows, not carried or walked.
They would be hanged by the neck not until dead, and cut down alive.
Their entrails would be taken out while they were alive and burned before them.
The head would then be cut off.
The body would be divided into four parts
The head and body would be at the ruler's disposal.
Andrew Rogers of New Jersey would add that traitors could not inherit lands or transmit them to inheritors.
These events were not carried out, because Southern sympathizers assisted by European cliques, murdered Abraham Lincoln with a bullet to the brain, just as victory was being achieved.
The reminder in this is that Candidate Donald Trump, was set up at Butler PA to have his head blown off, recorded by the media who had assembled with digital fast frame recordings, to terrify the masses of Americans in an even more psychological rape than the horror of the murder of John Kennedy in Dallas.
The question in this which only the future of time will reveal is, what is the righteous judgment of President Donald Trump and the American People for those who were involved in this event of assassination, involved in the framing of Donald Trump, involved in the hunting down of Jan6 America and were involved in the extermination of Americans from HAARP spraying, cancer spread, Covid prions, in this erase and replace of Americans.
