Iced Tea Starts Out Warm

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

OK I'm not getting any kickbacks in this, so this is kosher.

I had been wanting ice  tea all summer as I like ice tea. I picked up  the following tea as I have had it with cheap tea and Lipton, as they just have zero quality. Even JYG says he has to use two tea bags to make a mug of tea.

So I picked this up.

So I kind of know where my ice tea jar is, as I have allot of them. Plastic ones and glass jar ones. They are under a pile of clothes I think.

So I came across the one pictured above in the Thrift. It reminded me of not having made tea and summer was about over. So I handled it, saw it was 2 bucks and thought, "Splurge", and we got it.

I washed it up, and I was using warm tap water, about 95 degrees as ours is set low, and dug out the Chestnut Hill tea bag. I thought I had dug out two, and found these are large. I put it in the jar, and went back to doing dishes and noticed the tea was leaching out already. From past experience, I know I have to start with warm water or it will take days to make tea. So this tea leaching out was a surprise.

As I checked later, it had made tea two hours later. I touched the jar and it was still warm. The secret it seems and why I'm posting this is this jar is that thick Anchor Hocking kind of cheap glass. I figured more cheap Chinese shit and this time the heavy glass was the secret to a good tea jar.

So if you want to make iced tea, it seems the thick glass and these tea bags.
