I'm always fascinated by the messages which the Russians are sending as most people have no idea that Dimitry Medvedev, looks like Czar Alexander II's brother. In that, when I noticed a portrait behind President Putin in an interview, with his family pictured below on the desk, I was first amazed that Vladimir Putin had not a Soviet leader behind him, but instead had chosen one of the Czars.
I assumed it had to be one of the 4, in either Alexander I, II, III or Nicholas I. After matching the costume with the face, I was now even more intrigued as to the message which I sincerely hope President Donald Trump and his Team take especial note of, as this was not by accident, and it was more than an attempt at manipulation.
My children and brats have been led along the past year in Carl Sandberg's first two volumes of Lincoln at War. The great ally of the United States in that period was Czar Alexander II, who is the emperor pictured above. This is the great reformist of Russia.

Alexander II Russian: Алекса́ндр II Никола́евич, romanized: Aleksándr II Nikoláyevich, 29 April 1818 – 13 March 1881) was Emperor of Russia, King of Poland and Grand Duke of Finland from 2 March 1855 until his assassination in 1881. Alexander's most significant reform as emperor was the emancipation of Russia's serfs in 1861, for which he is known as Alexander the Liberator (Russian: Алекса́ндр Освободи́тель, romanized: Aleksándr Osvobodítel, IPA: [ɐlʲɪˈksandr ɐsvəbɐˈdʲitʲɪlʲ]).
The tsar was responsible for other liberal reforms, including reorganizing the judicial system, setting up elected local judges, abolishing corporal punishment, promoting local self-government through the zemstvo system, imposing universal military service, ending some privileges of the nobility, and promoting university education. After an assassination attempt in 1866, Alexander adopted a somewhat more conservative stance until his death
What Alexander II engaged in, was brought about by two events. The first was a London staged war in Crimea against Russia, and the second was the liberation of the Russian slaves, which mirrored what President Abraham Lincoln was faced with in America. These two events, cause the Russian Court to protect the United States in the Civil War from London and Paris. The British were fanning the flames to attack America and the French Napoleon had installed a regent in Mexico with troops.
What Czar Alexander put into play was a simple reality for Europe. "You attack America and it will be a world war with Russia and America combined against you, and you will be obliterated".
The parallels in what is taking place with President Vladimir Putin in having faced these Bushism internationalist London wars against Russia from Chechnya, Georgia, Syria, the Stans and now Ukraine, have produced from the Kremlin a like reality as Czar Alexander. The Kremlin has stated and knows that London is their perpetual enemy and has sought now with President Donald Trump to form a working partnership for peace in the world from the advanced weapons and economics of Russia and the United States.
So it is not an accident that President Putin has Czar Alexander II behind him, as he is stating this is his administration at home and the policy with the United States. A most Christian Orthodox leader being chosen as his message to Russians and to Americans if they are able to understand that message of all Russia is interested in.
President Putin has chosen the protector of the Russian people, but he is not ignorant to what leadership requires. Mr. Putin mirrors a great deal Alexander III in his polices as peacemaker and his driving the Jewish oligarchy from Russian leadership. He knows the traitors in Russia, he knows who are instigating them from outside of Russia, and is establishing the Russian reunification as Alexander III accomplished by resetting the status quo of world politic.
Alexander had the political goal of Russification, which involved homogenizing the language and religion of Russia's people. He implemented changes such as teaching only the Russian language in Russian schools in Germany, Poland, and Finland. He also patronized Eastern Orthodoxy and dissolved German, Polish, and Swedish cultural and religious institutions.
Alexander was hostile to Jews, and his reign witnessed a sharp deterioration in their economic, social, and political condition. His policy was eagerly implemented by tsarist officials in the May Laws of 1882. These laws encouraged open anti-Jewish sentiment and dozens of pogroms across the western part of the empire. As a result, many Jews emigrated to Western Europe and the United States. The laws banned Jews from inhabiting rural areas and shtetls (even within the Pale of Settlement) and restricted the occupations in which they could engage.
Encouraged by its successful assassination of Alexander II, the Narodnaya Volya movement began planning the murder of Alexander III. The Okhrana uncovered the plot and five of the conspirators, including Aleksandr Ulyanov, the older brother of Vladimir Lenin, were captured and hanged in May 1887.
I will remind my children and my brats the understanding of the United States in President Abraham Lincoln's time in trusting Russia. Americans knew that France and England were engaged in doing critical harm to America, because she was a Republic. Russia hated Republics as much, but Russia did not engage in trying to destroy the American Republic, but saw America as an ally against the nefarious intrigues of the world.
So I trust President Putin and Russia, as they are doing America no harm in their Russian right of self interest, to the complete opposite of London, Paris, Berlin, Peking and Tel Aviv who do nothing but harm the United States and her people.
