Ok I stop digressing.
One of my girlfriends in school had a dad who managed a grocery store. She asked me once if I wanted to buy a boat. I asked why, and she said her dad had gotten it for featuring a product in his store. See nothing gets on shelves in groceries, unless money changes hands. Endcaps are special kickbacks to the groceries. The point is, when you see Angus Pride, that is a there for a monetary reason. A group got together and started pushing Angus no flavor beef, over Herefords and caused a great deal of harm to the industry which is costing us all money.
OK so some person trying to lure in ranchers to sell beef to them with special labeling. In the history of America, there was the NFO, National Farmers Organization. They were a thug outfit. They used to put sickle blades in the road to cut farmer tires who were not members. The point of this was a kid from a milker family I was talking to in school and he said, “I don’t get that NFO with their collective bargaining. We sell on the open market and get more money than the NFO does in their contracts.
There are USDA rules in food production. In order to turn out the pounds of beef which processors put on your shelves, requires vast slaughter plants. Now you can either try to contract with the big South American contractors and pay this fee, or you can build your own plants which would cost millions.
You then still need truckers, you will still need to get grocery chains to give up their suppliers for you, which they are looking at cheap South American beef at 2.50 a pound for 6 dollar a pound American beef. They will not do this. They will not do this without a kickback to get this beef on the shelves which you as a consumer will not buy, because you want cheap beef.
Food supply is an industry. It is called agribusiness and it is worth billions. Now you can do this on local processing, but you are not going to cut into major market chains which is what this nation is almost completely supplied by.
In the ass poster above, they talk about a fair price. Just like oil costs more in America than Saudi Arabia, the fact is that it costs money for pasture in summer. It costs money to feed cattle all winter. For the deadbeats who think this blog just happens for free, in order to break even, I eat the costs for my Grandpas place to put in the crop on 21 acres, in exchange I get the pasture, plus building fence and everything else. I have to buy hay and will on average have a cost of 5000 dollars in feed. I sure do not pull this out of the blog from non donors.
At the moment my pick up’s clutch went out today, 200 bucks to two it in, and that will be several thousand dollars I can’t pull out of my ass.
When I said God put the stick to me to get the cattle sold this year before prices fell, what took place is I finally broke even for the past few years in costs, NOT IN THE DEAD ANIMALS from HAARP and the devil.
Those are the realities of beef cattle. Tractors run 150,000 dollars. Balers run 50,000 dollars, which is why I have to buy feed as a cost ratio.
So when I see numbers like those below it looks like a pipe dream as people are not fools and I have never found them in mass ever looking to part with their money.
