Need not Greed

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

As a Protestant Christian we come upon all kinds of situations and this one I’m sharing as a reality of this world.

It was the Sabbath and we had stopped at the grocery. For the record, I’m a hunter gatherer or predator. Very little escapes me, and in walking along I spotted a wallet. I knew I hit pay dirt in this, so I picked it up and TL never even considered the cash that would be in it, until I opened it and in the bills in the wallet the one starting things off was a 100 dollar bill.

So I take it in, and the weekend crew of GEN kids and GENS are working and you know how worthless they are. I ask if they can call some of the people who are adults, and they lie and say they can take the wallet as they will put it into the employee lounge where no one goes and it will be safe.

I considered taking it to the guy’s house as I had his driver’s license, but I know better than that as too many people end up beat or dead doing a good deed. I also know the assholes out there who would be saying, “There was more cash in this wallet when I lost it”, and the cops appear and I get on a police report.

So a Christian does the right thing. I handed it over to the store for them to deal with and I know satan is not going to be demanding payment from me for stealing several hundred dollars if not more.

So what do you get from God?

God tells us that we should not expect rewards for doing what it right as doing what is right is expected from us. I talked this over with God as you know how poor I am in no one donates, and I’m working here for Him, and it reminded me of the Japanese story of 3 daughters who got married.

The first one hid in the closet on her wedding night, because she did not want her husband to think she was too forward. He sent her away for not wanting him.

The second one on hearing the first story, got out of the closet naked. The husband sent her away as he did not want a wanton whore.

The third daughter on hearing the first two stories, stayed in the closet on her wedding night and yelled out, “Do you want to come get me or should I come out naked"?”, he sent this girl away too for not knowing what to do.

That is what it is with God. Do you say something? Do you ask for things? God does say ASK, but that is Spiritual, but yet the son that stayed home and not the prodigal, was told by the father, that all he had was this sons and he could have it at any time.

I did talk this over with God in not wanting to offend Him. Treasures in Heaven do not do me much good now, but God is not a God Who just rewards one way and not another. So I hope for a thousand fold reward, even knowing that Jesus has been super with me in taking Care of allot of things which is my prayer. It is not like God is going to go broke handing out things.

That though is what the Holy Ghost whispers to me in it is my heart which is the issue in this. If my attitude is greed, if it is like Cain thinking I deserve a reward, then the only thing I would get from God is a reward which is going to teach my greedy ass the worst lesson possible. That I do not want. I do not consider myself looking at this in greed, but in need.

I’m certain in all of this that God has this figured out and will accomplish what His Will is. Yes I hung around a bit hoping for a reward, but you know what people are like now in you save them a pile of money and the effort to replace documents and credit cards and they think they deserve it.

So I will not check up on this wallet with my friends at the store. God knows what I did and God will reward me as God sees is proper. You start involving humans and you know how bad things can be, because my trying to do the right thing was more effort in getting those GENtards to do the right thing.

Yes the thought occurred to me that most people in 20 out of 10 people would have taken the money and tossed the wallet. I never considered it as that is not in me. I was upset enough today in the loaner we had, I misplaced the keys. I found them by the electric cord in the yard as I always put things up. I rarely lose things, but I sure have a knack of putting things up so I do not misplace them and forgetting in the blur of the day what I did with them.
I saw them in the ignition, remembered the thought to take them out so they did not get locked in, and the rest was blank. That was the Holy Ghost again though as I was in the GMC, telling me to look again, before I called the shop to see if they had spare keys. I got out of the pick up and there the keys were laying where I put them.

So God is looking out for me as I really try to seek His Kingdom first and all good will then be added to me. Perhaps it was a good experience in even as Les Miserables my situation is and being put through hell, I never even entertained stealing that money. That though is the Holy Ghost and God gets all the Glory.

Perhaps some of the above might help you children and you brats.
