As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.
I can not remember if I posted on this for reference files or discarded this but I was looking for a part for the Indian pick up I have, called Two Chiefs, and had no fortune before and no one else knew what I was asking about.
The expert said this is a Carburetor Bowl Fuel Vent Valve. As my dad's 1968 F 250 had no such thing, and no other Ford had it, I of course had the inherent ability to acquire something which most people have never heard of. This was Two Chiefs and the 360 V8 he has inside of him.
I am hoping this is the thing I need, as sometimes the threads talk about that thing behind the diaphragm and that is not where I am going. What I need is on top of the carb, and this seems to be the thing at least the pictures are the same as mine which we put a kit together, but it did not have this part.
Apparently these Fords sucked so much gas that they needed a vent under romping on the pedal to pour in volumes more gas. I can never think in my experiences of a 360 V8 ever slugging or dragging. They put engines in for farmers and ranchers with power to spare. You can stick that 302 up your rectum for the gutless thing that was, and the 289 should never been put into the Galaxy class...........oddly that 302 did ok in the Broncos of the era.
My dad's F 250 is being held hostage to some old fossil. I asked the kid and he said I could get it, but the old duffer is hanging onto it like his last breath of life. Bastard, needs God to jackhammer him to being Christian as we sold him that pick up.
Anyway I have hope for Two Chiefs this summer in at least knowing what this thing is, and knowing what the blessed part is, so I can probably get it locally.
