I would first like to quantify this by stating I hate baseball. It is as boring a game as watching tennis, as tedious as golf and as worthless as cricket.I do though treasure the real legends in Babe Ruth, Harmon Killebrew and Kent Hrbek.
In that though being stated, the commissioner of baseball, Bud Selig is reported to be considering in reinstating Hank Aaron's home run "record" which was broken by doper Barry Bonds.
I in turn call on Mr. Selig to simply fix all of this and restore the record to the one man who earned it in George Herman Ruth.
I fully remember the day Hank Aaron broke the record, and for those who care to can find the footage. The story as I recall is a pitcher threw him the hanging pitch like 50 other pitchers had to just get this home run nonsense done with.
People only need to watch the footage to know for certain that Hank Aaron could barely run, was 5 years past playing any real baseball and it was all a sham. A sham as largely produced as that Sousa McGuire derby a few years ago when the white guy won out.
It is all fake and just a thrill to get idiots to watch baseball.
The last great record actually broken was by North Dakota native, Roger Maris in breaking the single season record of Babe Ruth. Maris deserves that title even if he was thrown a hanger pitch to do it too, but his was legitimate.
So to make things right, Babe Ruth should be reinstalled as the home run king. Hank Aaron should have 50 runs deducted at least to the legitimate #2 spot.
..........and while you are at it Bud, get off your Pharisee throne and put Pete Rose into the Hall of Fame. He earned it and has more than paid for gambling. He is the probably the last baseball superstar the game will ever produce.
I know none of this will happen and the only reason Bud Selig is going to reinstate Hank Aaron is because it is the apologize to black guys by electing a white guy to the White House in Obama, but perhaps in time if Selig takes this measure and no one in baseball happens to read this blog to him, Bud will set the stage when Obama ruins the United States to really balancing the books and putting Aaron back behind Babe Ruth.
Then, maybe then, that prick Roger Goodell or a non political Roger, will take those Super Bowls away which the New England Patriots stole. The fact is Ben Rothlesberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers have not just won 2 Superbowls, but had 2 stolen from them at least, if not 4.
Those things mean things for people who will never get to Canton Ohio for the National Football Hall of Fame, because they don't have the Super Bowl rings.
That same garbage is what has plagued baseball in how many games did other teams loose, because Hank Aaron was being fed long balls to pad a record? How many pitchers have their stats skewed and in all of this from managers to players lost income, because they were fired or sent to triple A clubs as Aaron's stats ruined their employment.
I know Bud Selig would never touch this if he understood the ramifications of how this all feeds back eventually to Birdie Obama, illegitimate dope head as Barry Bonds, usurping the Oval Office as a British subject. Selig like all this Dan Rooney feel good by feeling the black fella in the White House is just trying to win one more for the Obammer who didn't have mustard on the ball, but his bat filled with George Soros lead, the Rothschilds cemented Hillary Clinton's shoes to the base and the cathartic racists had moved the 400 foot home run fence just past second base.
So go to it you liberals as I'm all for the reopening of past records as it will reopen past votes and America will finally get things straightened out.
