Mentor Medicine

It is past time to say that Americans in numbers around sixty million can not afford things any longer. Even if Congress could hammer out some type of health care services and charge numbers of people only a hundred dollars, it still is one hundred dollars they do not have.

Joseph Califano who worked for Lyndon Johnson and is honest in most liberal cases, stated that he thinks Obamacrypt should be passed even if Mr. C knows that with genetic advances, human body parts replacement and other factors coming online, that people in America are going to be living longer and it is going to cost even more money to care for them in these high grade treatments.
That sounds a great deal like Barney Frank home buyer advice in just throw some money at a house, even if you can't afford it, because it will be solved later, even if the entire world implodes with it.

I have placed a few workable solutions concerning health care on this blog and to some government officials. I'm here once again to advocate a plan which will not cost Americans anything and solve the health care cost problem and people who are now being told to go off and die or go into debt for care they can not afford as their choices.

What I see as a basis for this the Salvation Army, but instead a group of medical people who answer to the Surgeon General, work for a salary paid by the US government, BUT that salary is capped at a starting wage like the US military salaries are capped.
It would be the same type of program where doctors, nurses, dentists would have to serve this in this medical army for five years, before they could go out and make the big dollars.
Salaries would be fifty thousand for doctors and twenty five thousand for nurses. If people die or too many complaints are filed, then they can go work at Walmart.

These medical people would be under the supervision of the current in place medical network operating in each community.
I advocate that the National Guard Armories which litter America would be their treatment centers. For more technical or demanding treatments the sick would be transferred to a hospital where as I stated before, the hospital and doctor there would be given tax credits for treating these people who could not pay.
In that way the physicians and nurses get paid their normal wages, but it just comes out of tax dollars, the government does not need as without hundreds of millions going to Medicare and Medicaid, that money pit is gone as treatments are then at the Medic Centers.

None of this plan costs anything, but in fact produces more physicians who will be under training from the best of physicians. It works for the military and works for Soldiers. It is simply a layer of medicine now absent, but costing in unpaid bills hundreds of millions of dollars, which hospitals then charge to government programs and insurance companies by padding bills.

Of course tort reform as has been accomplished in Texas must be nationwide in stopping malpractice insurance. That can be handled by a Public Utilities type board in being the final arbitrators and judges to complaints filed.

The point of this plan though is it takes the money out of the system, and without the money, bill padding, illegals siphoning money out of the system for people who are paying for care, the reason for the immense profits to cover immense costs disappears.
Nip that in the bud, and health costs go down.

There is no logical reason for it to cost fifteen thousand dollars for something like an appendicitis. Mechanics work on flat rates, and hospitals can too. This nonsense of a little anesthesia, a little antibiotics, a little cutting does not add up to simple operations. The reason as stated that operations are so high is because lawyers suing doctors, illegals not paying for care, insurance companies using kickbacks to hospitals and politicians like Dead Ted rigging this to get more political power from helpless voters voting for them.

That is what capitalism is in solving the medical situation in America. When costs get too high, simply give treatment away with an assembly of protocols that take the patients costing the system into a different layer of the system, and one finds the system then fixes itself by market forces.

You tell Americans now paying thousands of dollar in health insurance, that they will be treated and have to only pay what they can afford if the choose in a Medical Army system, and they will in numbers stop buying insurance too.
Sure insurance companies will raise rates to try and make up for the losses and complain of a financial meltdown, but the same hospitals saying it costs a hundred thousand for a heart operation, will all of a sudden note that their operating rooms are empty, and by miracle prices will start coming down as they try to stay competitive.

One will be surprised how prices drop when the money flow stops. For those who think this possibly can't work even with the government involved, I ask you to observe another government system which depends on individuals to run their own lives and businesses in the American farmer by whose mouths all are full.
Currently it doesn't matter if the commodities go up or if they go down, because the government figures that farmers clear about twenty five dollars an acre no matter about market forces or government programs.
The system works and consumers are fed good food and farmers no longer live like wage slaves.

The same thing can be accomplished in health care. It will not cost trillions and in reality it should actually make money to fund this level of care if the correct production incentives are in place in patients actually paying what they can afford, instead of nothing at all, is actual money coming in instead of deadbeats.

This Mentor Medicine is how to solve this entire medical mess. Just leave what exists alone, and it will by market forces fix itself, but in the time being, just set up treatment clinics for people who want to go to a doctor for a few dollars if they are actually cured.
Throwing more money at this will fix nothing, but only expand the money pit.

America employs people to deliver mail, fight in wars, grow food etc... America can certainly make a Medical Corp of Medical Mentors who when they serve and then graduate can go fight it out for patients on the upper levels of payments.

Competition solves this and using government systems like the military that does indeed work with personnel doing jobs for America..........like military doctors who like being in the military practicing medicine without being sued, that America might find a Medical Mentors who serve for life as they don't want the hassles regular doctors face.

There are always ways of solving things without spending more money if one is Inspired by God and puts their mind to the grindstone to work. God helps those who help themselves.
