I realize that scourging is offered up in lashes for people speaking about sex on television and other things like lopping off heads for adultery, and in all honesty, this blog sees no problem with any of the above, and has in fact advocated using the lash as in history it has been proven in places like colonial Cuba to America, that just whipping of crimes of a lesser nature (not major felonies) teaches a lesson better and does not impoverish a nation incarcerating millions of people.
Havana as this blog noted in the early 1800's was a murder den where justice was not done when rich people did not pay the poor for work, and robbers would murder people in broad daylight.
The new Spanish Governor simply confiscated rich people's property, which showed the poor their faith should be in the courts, so they started getting paid.
Robbers were whipped on the 4 street corners where the crime was committed and murderers and rapists were hung immediately.
Within a month, Havana was a safe city again.
This blog fully realizes the "cruel and unusual" aspect of American justice, but it needs to explain it to Citizens, because cruel and unusual punishment of criminals is not designed to protect the criminal, but to protect the law abiding, so that horrid tortures and death will not mar the soul of the person suffering from the crime nor the community.
What I explain is, take for example someone like Charlie Manson. He deserves a horrid death. The problem is that if someone were to pull his testicles off with pliers from the Tate family, gouge his eyes out with a spoon from some other family, and then let fire ants eat him alive as he was staked out in the sun, that this would bring joy to Americans in touching them to delight as it desensitized them to cruel conduct.
This is what cruel and unusual protects the Citizen from so that justice does not become some vengeful sport.
On the other hand, blood justice has been so removed from Americans that they do not fear the law nor cower from doing wrong.
This blog has long advocated the revocation of awarding criminals for being failures at "attempted" rape and murder. Just because a crook fails at harming someone, they should not receive a lesser sentence. As intent was committed, full sentence should be given.
As sexual offenders so not reform according to all psychological data, they should face the same sentence of execution as keeping them alive by the state is cruel to them and cruel to the nation being made slaves to rapists and pedophiles.
Violent acts require violent end of life sentences. It may or may not keep some pervert or angry heart from doing deeds, but it certainly stops the pervert and murderer from repeating the crime.
The Saudi courts are correct if the sentence is crucifixion and then beheading for raping children. What a wonderful message that would be for Roman holiday Obama and pedophile Letterman that lusting in public and joking about rape of children is something which brings just results in the real legal system.
Should as the British did or Romans in using whips with metal bits in the end to whip people to death be allowed, or as the Vietnamese and Cubans did to Americans in beating them so bad their skin and meat came off the bones be allowed, certainly not.
Scourging though in fact in certain situations was humane, because it breaks the body down so crucifying it, the body succumbs more quickly.
An old cowboy from out west once noted to my brother the following concerning crime in America, "You that bullsh*t just didn't happen in the old days out here. We used to hang those b*stards by the lamp post on main street by the neck until the body rotted off, and if someone thought it extreme, they got the same medicine. We didn't have crime at all when that justice was done".
Theodore Roosvelt noted the same thing in Dakota Territory in lynch mobs did get a little over zealous at times in cleaning out the bad guys in sometimes nipping a few people they had grudges against, but the justice was quick and short with peace remaining as everyone got along.
So would I like to see pedophiles crucified, most certainly is the answer. I would like to see the millions of American prison inmates to also have a bit of catharsis in the people that raped them as children to be given perhaps two whacks with a hammer to neuter their rapists while they hung on the cross just before some horizontal guillotine lopped off the pedophile's head.
I actually designed a "hangman" which was quite revolutionary in it was spring pison loaded like a shock absorber. The condemned was stood under it, a noose placed over the head, the knot placed behind the left ear to break the hangman's 3rd vertebrae when it went off with a slow twist, and with weight adjustments no heads came flying off or undo hazards like when Saddam Hussein was executed.
All very humane, the condemned was dead in a second, and no costly gallows. Just strap in the criminal, dial the weight setting and set the timer automatically, so the hangman didn't have to go home feeling pity about taking a human life.
Much more efficient than lethal poison or that electrocution which I do find barbaric with wet sponges, football helmets and high voltage burning hair and flesh.
Smoking a human body makes the squeamish not like justice, so my state run execution machine is both clean, quick and pure justice.
So this blog agrees with Saudi justice on pedophiles who rape children and leave them to die in the scorching desert like Terri Schiavo. Those assaulted need a punishment to fit the heinous crime. Society needs to be protected from too much savage justice, but society only becomes polite when it fear savage justice too.
The English used to administer drawing and quartering which was a bloody mess in gutting the condemned while alive, then either lopping off the head and quartering the body, or quartering the body and then lopping off the head.
Of course, the criminal bled out by the first minute an artery was sliced from a leg or arm, but traitors to England or heinous criminals never repeated the crime.
While liberals would worry about children having nightmares over such events, I put forth the debate point in what is more nightmarish:
Children scared of justice to wailing tears that keeps them from growing up to be Ted Bundy or children laughing with their parents at David Letterman pedophile jokes just because it is "hated" Sarah Palin.
The latter is more the judgment of a nightmare to this blog as raping women in gang style by verbal assault is much more savage than executing pedophiles in justice.
As Mr. Obama bows to Saudi Kings, perhaps in his health care bill, Nancy Pelosi can include crucifying pedophiles in America due to provide some mental health guidelines to the David Letterman office.
In civilized law abiding society like Saudi Arabia, David Letterman for his crimes against children and women, he would not be earning millions of dollars, but would be earning lashes and as he is a serial sex pervert would be facing state execution.
Hey liberals, your Obama bowed to Saudi law. Those are the facts of your Obama the profane.
