This blog was a full supporter of Michael Steele for heading up the Republican National Committee, not because he was black, but because of his electrifying leadership during 2008 in his "drill baby drill" speech which signified his complete understanding of the energy and economic issues which has ruined America and Mr. Obama is green rapine embezzling America into an even deeper abyss.I have cringed as Michael Steele made verbal missteps on the Hugley program to his blunder in saying the GOP would not take the Congress in 2010.
Mr. Steele can not reveal Republican patrician strategy in they want only enough Republicans in control to keep Obama and Pelosi exposed as liberal maniacs, so that in 2012 a GOP Republican will win the White House and the GOP will then take the Congress leaving all blame on progressives where it belongs.
It has come to a point though that Michael Steele has now stated that his critics are criticizing him because of race.
When Michael Steele does this in an interview, he exposes what this blog was lecturing Sean Hannity about in his attempt to silence a black Republican in Georgia from defining Mr. Obama for the racist he is, because Mr. Hannity believes with his Coulterish types that bringing up race will only distract from Obama's failures.
Nothing though can be further from the facts, as the Black Caucus was just questioning Mr. Obama's attention to racial issues for blacks in government aid, and this blog has predicted that as Mr. Obama fails the nation will exhibit a blacklash against all blacks. The worst of this will come from inside the black culture as the "tan factor" comes into play.
Mr. Obama dove into "blackness" again after the Massachusetts rout in he was trying to recapture the black mystique which got him elected and he did this in Ohio talking in folksy terms to those white folks in a most condescending manner.
Michael Steele is the product of what I was trying to explain to Sean Hannity here in unless this issue is ridden, beaten to death and turned into a stench no one will hide behind, race is going to keep coming back as a defeatist issue, and it will be unleashed on the right in the 2012 election in labeling them racists again, just the way the left always uses the issue.
Michael Steele in blaming critics for being racists ignores his supporters who have stood by him in the hope he will grow into his job and overcome his mistakes. No this is not an Obama learning in progress, but it is Michael Steele as a Conservative being supported to learn how to address issues diplomatically so as not to create bigger problems.
One of my favorite moments in history was after Bill Clinton got into the White House and he was doing typically liberal terrible in making the most asinine comments infuriating the right and making the left cringe for Silver Foot in his mouth, G H W Bush.
So Clinton lines up all the old Presidents on the garden path. Clinton is seated and of course the puppy press drops a loaded bomb question on 90 year old Gerald Ford.
It was a priceless moment as the question was "Bill Clinton is a dumb ass if you answer it and a dumb ass if you don't answer it".
Clinton got this sheen and stupid grin on his face as he knew there was no answer to the question. The other Presidents just closed their eyes in anticipation of a headline New York Times moment of reporters screwing with politicians mocking them. Then in a most blessed moment, President Ford, paused as the suspense built for 10 long seconds that seemed like hours, and he simply answered like Solomon in the most perfect reply.
Everyone knew a President had spoken. Everyone knew that Mr. Clinton was not speaking as a President at that point in time, and everyone knew it was a dirty trick to pull on Gerald Ford, but he was still master of the game no matter what the press had tried to portray him as a awkward.
There is an art and self assurance to being a national spokesperson or President. I remember George Schultz before Congress in Iran Contra gave an answer where he said "confidential conversations" with the President what seemed a hundred times in boring Congress to oblivion, but in saying nothing, speaking protocol absolutes, Sec. Schultz found the diplomacy to answer without answering.
In interviews, Mr. Steele simply needs to prepare in about three catch phrases for sound bytes, a few challenges and some very long winded bluffs to eat up time.
I found it remarkable how Sarah Palin wrote a few words on her hand as triggers and she was able to give a speech and answer questions with ease. A mentalist is capable of doing those things in using a single word to recall great amounts of information stored in their memories.
Of course putz's like Jon Stewart steal jokes in mocking her, but Sarah Palin really shines in all the pressure she is under and the intense questions she is always being put to.
Sarah Palin has faced more tough challenges in 1 week than Obama has faced in his entire political career.
This brings the subject back to Michael Steele who really needs to iron up in stop speaking with his heart in what he believes in excuses and start replying diplomatically.
I studied Hillary Clinton's interview with Tavis Smiley which was analyzed here. She lied constantly in that interview, but Mr. Smiley heard what he wanted, and Mrs. Clinton's real view of Barack Obama being stupid was never uttered.
Michael Steele needs to come up with analogies which promote him as an American while addressing his mistakes.
He can reply with, "This is a rough and tumble political world now of high stakes. I'm placed on point to take the hits and make points without teleprompters. Sometimes I am not diplomatic and say things that people are all over. Those are Michael Steele times as an American like all Americans speaking from the heart. Other times Americans hear the polished message which does not make the headlines. I get hit, knocked down, get grass stains and sometimes blood on my American uniform, but I am in this game to win this for all Americans."
Or he could just say, "If you want polish with nothing under the suit, suit up a teleprompter as that is not what you get with me".
Michael Steele though has to take a volume from the Sarah Palin book and realize this is not about him just as Sarah Palin never makes this about her, but keeps moving forward on the issues as the press keeps trying to make it about her in smearing her.
In that Michael Steele needs to ask "What would Sarah do?", and in most cases Sarah Palin has polished her responses to be about issues and in the rest of the cases when it is about her, she keeps silent.
Iron is a hard metal, but made harder by heating and bonding to other metals. It it tries too hard it becomes brittle like glass. There are warnings in this of sparks flying off the iron in heating and the color being too bright.
Mr. Steele requires a reheating and then a focus upon Conservative, Conservative, Conservative.
He needs to be Conservative Steele and not Michael Steele and he will perform his duties perfectly.
Conservatives have got to address racism and all the Obama issues as this blog has, or it will come back and bite them and people like Mr. Steele will think they can hide in that dogma
