A well-known Dewey County rancher and member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe has pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual contact with a child.
Jerry Farlee, 58, of Eagle Butte entered his guilty pleas in United States District Court in Pierre on Tuesday.
Farlee admitted having sexual contact with children under the age of 12. The assaults involve three girls on different occasions from 1993 to 2006.
Farlee is the former executive director of the Eagle Butte affiliate of Habitat for Humanity. He has remained free, but confined to his ranch since shortly after his arrest last March.
Farlee was jailed Tuesday while he awaits sentencing in January. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
