I would first appreciate saying that Ronald Reagan did not suffer one iota from Altzheimers while President as World Net Daily tries to link in the Reagan Diaries in President Reagan making mistakes to what Junior Reagan is capitalizing on in trying to recreate his father as Obama the First in being a liberal.The incidents of Ronald Reagan's presidency which are focused upon can be explained in several ways which include results from the assassination attempt, fatigue and normal "flushing sh*t from your memory" that does not matter.
Who has not had to memorize a song, the books of the Bible in listing or a speech years ago and not been able to remember a phrase of them a decade later. There are long term memories, intermediate term memories and short term memories.
So for Mr. Reagan to not remember a song or canyons where he lived when one has the immense accumilation of knowledge in being President where daily you give statements, you get the threat matrix on some terrorist with a weird name or some bastard Sam Donaldson reporter is trying to trip you up.........yes you get to a point where your mind flushes non important memories in burying them and focuses upon the vital memories.
When my Mom had her hip surgery, she was quite medicated and I was quite furious when my stupid sister was correcting her as a jackass nursing home stooge was grilling her, trying to trip her up and get her into an institution as that is where they make their money.
Medications alter the mind for short periods of time, and Mr. Reagan could have suffered from like bouts as he did have serveral surgeries while President.
With the vast stores of information I deal with, I often have things I don't remember, like a few days ago I was discussing with my Mom "that Austrian" who looked like my great Uncle Walley. I could see the guy, knew he was President of Austria during the Reagan years and was Secretary of the UN.
At those moments, I ask the Holy Ghost to run the memories, and He must have been wondering who this forgotten leader was too, as I mulled over Willy Brandt and Helmut Khol, when finally the first name popped into my head in Kurt..........and then Waldheim, and I thanked the Holy Ghost.
So I fully sympathize with Michael Reagan in calling out his dupnik brother Junior Reagan, as my sister and her husband have now 3 times left messages on my answering machine in which the husband was calling someone else, and she forgot to hang up the phone so I got to listen to her doing dishes for 15 minutes.
The people who are always sticking their noses into other people's lives are the ones who end up succumbing to the things they are hurting other people over.
I always go to my Mom as my back up intellect as she remembers things I refuse to remember. President Reagan was no different in the normal flushing of memories or sorting things out which need to be remembered and which do not need to be remembered.
The "problems" with President Reagan occured when that damn Mexican horse threw him down in Mexico. His brain was injured then and he developed fluid on the brain, which was then treated at the Mayo Clinic.
Those two events with anethesia are what set off his memory loss. I would not diagnose President Reagan as suffering from Altzheimers as that disease is often more one of stemming from a prion type effect from drinking dirty water. What President Reagan suffered from was a brain injury which led to progressive atrophy, all after he was President.
The nonsense of this all is, this all worked out exactly as God intended for the good. Patty stopped being a liberal whore and started become a daughter to Nancy. President Reagan gained sympathy so his true accomplishments could be viewed in reality and not liberal libel.
President Reagan owes a great deal of his current legacy in the down time of that regressive brain injury so his legend could build.
It is just regretable that Maureen was not here to see this and it left Michael alone to defend his father, while the poodle judge Ron jr. was speaking for John Kerry and human cannibalism, trying to redefine Ronald Reagan as B. Hussein.
I hope Skipper grows up as Micheal did, but being a poster boy for liberals is quite immature in stating someone who is Conservative suffers from brain disease, as that is what Ron jr. is getting at in his "memoir" of being a disgrace as a femmy ballet boy and never accomplishing a thing in his life.
Thank God for all Michael overcame in being raped by a gay male as a child, going extreme, but coming back to the father and step mother who are really wonderful people in Ron and Nancy Reagan.
Ronald Reagan's mind was sound, and the one reality is that when Ronald Reagan died, in God's Grace, God proved that the soul and Spirit in man is greater than the mind, as while the mind might bruise and disconnect, in the moments before his passing, Ronald Reagan recognized his family and became lucid as that eternal Spirit in him flamed brightly past a dysfunctional mind.
It is too bad that was not focused upon as hope for the families who suffer with loved with in coma, vegetative and dimentia states.'
Ronald Reagan's legacy was perfect as his life. It was not written I'm certain the way he would have written it, but God made it all good as God promises for those who love Him.
That is my Ronald Reagan at 100, a reality.
