When Sec. of State Henry Kissinger signed the accords to end the Vietnam War, the reality is a group of at least 317 Americans in Laos to the several thousand in South Asia, including those transported out to Peking and Moscow, which were abandoned by the Rockefeller shill for the Nixon Administration, as they rightly knew that being chained hostage to them would be a blackmail bonanza for communists worldwide, and would in fact instigate shadow wars which would in fact lead to a nuclear war, as a furious American public would blame their own leaders on the right and the left and then demand a nuclear option to incinerate the south Asians in frustration.
Kissinger did not want a Jimmy Carter Iranian hostage crisis and simply negotiated it all away, and then said, that no Americans were alive in Vietnam, which indeed was the case, as it was other communist fronts in Indochina who held the POW's.
The Republicans have known this as much as the democrats and each being guilty have kept silent as it was Nixon's negotiations to end a war American wanted ended and democrats abandoning South Vietnam in cutting off funding, which caused the sanctioned disaster to roll back American foreign policy by the 5th column in America and left the POW's and Indochurians in South Asia.

Ross Perot actually named Richard Armitage as the person in the US Government who was leaking information, gumming up the rescue operations and running counter intel ops to stop Perot from getting the hostages out.
Armitage at the time was Assistant Sec. of Defense in charge of POW affairs. Perfect position to be in to cover up the criminal rapine in Southeast Asia when President Reagan was gung ho about getting those Americans back to America.
Armitage was one of the key rooks in the Carnivore Capitalists of the Rockefeller Ashkenaz global syndicate in running operations inside the US Government. It was a network of the Golden Triangle of opium funding off the book intelligence operations and that magic fuel of the arms trade, which made fortunes in southeast Asia.
It was this network of inter operations which would be exposed when Iran Contra was exposed, as the light colonel in Oliver North told Congress, he would deal with the devil itself to get hostages back from the Middle East. Oliver North did indeed deal with the non boyscout tribe as Richard Helms noted the work involved.
