Yes there is one dead infant and one dead 6 year old, and I do not want to investigate which mothers if they are still alive did not shield their children from being shot, but sat there and let it happen.
I will though point out that for those who judge James Holmes as having shot the children deliberately, to remember the theater was dark, he was spraying lead about, and he might have hit most of these people even at close range by accident, as it requires some effort to hit a target.
Holmes is a variable as he was known to shoot random targets, these parents though knew they had children and did not protect them. Unless Holmes was using his 879 Wingmaster Remington shotgun as close range, that 40 Smith & Wesson and 223 were not exactly tissue destoryers after ploughing through some parent to kill a child.
