The Rich History of America
As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter and anti matter..........
I place before you the name of Robert Morris. Most will not have a clue to the name, and others might think I am speaking of Governeur Morris, in one of the Founders. The reality is though to remind Americans of who Americans once were in Robert Morris.
Robert Morris was an immigrant from England to America. At the age of 13 years, he sailed to the colonies in 1747 and placed as a servant in one of the counting houses in America, and Ebenezer Scrooge type business for those who are familiar with Charles Dickens tale.
Through hard work by age 21. Morris with the son of the owner of the counting house formed their own business of Willing, Morris and Company which by 1776, was only surpassed by two other firms in New England.
The smart thing for Robert Morris would have been to have sided with the Crown and become a Tory, but Robert Morris did the exact opposite as one of the wealthiest magnets in America. He chose America first and sought to throw off the tyranny of King George and his court.
It was at this, that America owes this Citizen, this rich Citizen, a debt which it will never repay, because America never did repay Robert Morris for all he did for the Revolution, as he was the chief financial officer of the United States in the Continental Revolution.
The Revolution would not have been won if not for Robert Morris and his management, which was often creative in attempting to rob Peter to pay Paul, or in more exact terms, allowing creditors to believe he was more wealthy than he ever was in taking on the debts of these United States.
More than once Mr. Morris borrowed money for the Government of America, and used his own estate as collateral for the Revolution.
In 1780, with Thomas Paine's willing writing abilities, he founded a "national bank" for these United States in which 3 million rations were provided for the Continental Army.
It was in 1781, that Mr. Morris funded the plan to bring General Washington's Continental Army to Virginia against Lord Cornwallis. There was then a debt of two and a half million against America. The purse of America was not just empty, it was bankrupt.
To this Robert Morris rose and issued almost one and one half million dollars for the operation of the Continental Army until August of that year.
The Soldiers both officer and enlisted, were not paid. There was no money for wages. General Washington appealed to Robert Morris for funding, and was informed that there was absolutely no more money to be had, as the creative skills of Mr. Morris for funding had tapped out everything.
Morris would be asked of even more from General Washington for all the light boats in the Delaware and the Chesapeake for transportation, 600 barrels of provisions for the march and even more supplies in Virginia, coupled with 500 guineas in gold for the Washington Spy Network and full payment in silver for the wages for the Army in a month's pay.
There was nothing left, but Robert Morris, the rich American, rose again to the occasion and plead his case to the Admiral of the French Navy who for two weeks loaned Mr. Morris, twenty thousand dollars in silver to pay the troops. There was though no money to repay the Admiral, but by God's Grace Peter did indeed rob Paul, for the American envoy, Colonel Laurens at that moment arrived from France with five hundred thousand dollars in cash from the French Government on loan to the Americans.
Robert Morris at the right time found the money to pay a disgruntled Army for it to carry out that one last battle against Lord Cornwallis, securing the Independence of America.
America owes so much to this rich American, who later in life, speculated on land in purchasing huge amounts of wilderness, but being old, that speculation would require decades to come to fruition and Morris did not have the time.
He started building a mansion which soon bankrupted him, and he was thrown into debtors prison for four years.
Yes the financier of the American Revolution was thrown into debtors prison after all he gave to America.
As he wrote from prison, on paper not his own, sleeping in beds not his own, sitting in a room not his own, and owning nothing, he lamented his fall, but none were there to help him.
It was his wife who was loyal and secured a pension for him, on which he lived the last four years of his life in a small house in debt, and a country indebted to him, but a country which would not repay him.
For the reality was or the exucse, that Congress was a trustee and not a owner of America, so they could not use public funds to rescue a speculator from his debts, no matter if he had saved America many times from English rule where Lord North had demanded unconditional surrender from the Americans.
I place this before all in this 21st century of the Age of Obama, where wholesale looting by this regime of General Motors to the kickbacks to green scam industries amounting to billions to the piracy of trillions stolen from the US Treasury bankrupting America, and how nothing would be done for Robert Morris the Financial Patriot, in how far America has fallen.
I consider my pleas from the rich in America for appropriate donations they can afford, and how the Scrooge comes out, and none are like Robert Morris in doing what is right.
Robert Morris was like all Americans in a hunted man by the British government. He was not hiding away like a coward nor silent. He invested the money God provisioned him in America. He was not off looting the Treasury nor taking welfare bribes for his stocks. What Robert Morris was, was a rich American, like the majority of the Founders who did the right thing when it came to money for the American cause.
There would not have been an America if Robert Morris was not a rich American, who used the money God provided for America. Robert Morris was not thinking tax deductions, his name in papers for charitable contributions nor was he counting his fortune as the real Patriots were in danger placing all they had for America.
From my personal experience with the rich in America, and from anecdotes of others concerning rich Americans of the 21st century, there is not a Patriot or Christian among them. There is not one Robert Morris in these United States from my experience nor from others, to their great shame.
At the destruction of America, there was not one rich person to arise and do what was right. No every rich person instead is a "let them eat cake" as they demand to be thanked for crumbs from their multi million dollar tables.
I think of President John Adams in these times, in his warning to Americans not to squander all his efforts in how he is now repenting of all he did, and how all the Patriots are repenting in Heaven over this mob of inmates besmerching the holy title of American.
America is now a feudal social conglomerate rule, where the grass of the people covers the corporate field to be cut for the elite's power in the decision of how best to exterminate that mob of ingrates.
King George did not lose the war of the American Revolution. King George only had to await the foreign intrigue of Birther Hussein Obama to accomplish what the red coats failed upon at first.
Lame Cherry
I would that I would be proven wrong about the multi millionaires and billionaires in America, but the proof is there is not a Robert Morris among them.
To see this vault of vipers whose venom is stored in sacks of dollars while the Patriots of America in the 21st century face Valley Forge, and all that is there is one popular girl, bespeaks a regret now that America ever was. It would have been better if America had knelt before the King and become the hens of his yard, for in that, the Patriots who sweated and bled for hundreds of years for this illusion, could have saved all of this for a Viceroy more fitting, as that is exactly what this gulag is now, but a place of the wealthy and the impoverished, and the rich adders finally shedding their American skins for their master's red coats.
The Rich History of America was but a fantasy, for the rich reality of America is her wealthy are the same traitors as Benedict Arnold who sold America out, not long ago, but in this generation.
Be proud Benedict Arnold, the witness of this Lame Cherry has revealed, that you have with you an entire host of rich people, exactly like yourself in chosing themselves over donations to the Patriot Cause.
