As a Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter........
There is a bit of propaganda which will be refuted here that most have probably seen in the movie, All Quiet on the Western Front, which was more anti German propaganda.
In the movie, the new recruits led by Richard Thomas or John Boy Walton meet old Sargeant Earnest Borgnine who is lecturing the young Germans against that evil drill instructor, played by that one English guy who stars in most things evil or hobbit.
The lecture is on the not cutting notches in their bayonets as Borgnine informs the John Boys that if Frenchie catches them with it, the French will use it on the Germans.
The theme was Germans were barbarians using saw blades on bayonets to gut people or saw bones in the chest which I place here a historic refutation of that by the following quote on Pennsylavnian Arms of all places to find the explanation.
"113. GERMAN SAWTOOTH BAYONET. L. 15-1/2" Marks indecipherable except "Solingen". These bayonets were exhibited in this country during the War as an evidence of German atrocity, but they were in reality intended for wire-cutting.
Only one was issued to each squad of infantry. For this reason they are comparatively rare."

Once again some German hating Americans decided in "war" to spread another lie about how bad German Soldiers were, in stating these bayonets were used for gutting people, when the reality is these bayonets were only assigned to one member of a German squad and used to cut razor wire.
That puts this in a completely different light, and yet the Hollywood hate propaganda found in All Quiet on the Western Front is all that people ever are aware of.
There is no race of peoples who are innocent in anything, but the Germans were not ever the worst and certainly never deserved to be dehumanized with the ludicrous lies of sawtooth bayonets or Jew skin lamp shades.
The Germans have been castigated and smeared for far too long with none effectively answering this libel. Germany was genocided by cartel interests who wanted to remove them as competitors in the 20th century.
It is time this ends and those responsible for it to have the historical blame.
