I loved James Doohan. He died too soon as an old man. It bothered me when Grace Lee Whitney died earlier this year. She was the hot Yeoman Janice Rand who played the part of hot and tough all in one woman.
She was a real example of a strong woman, as she said in real life she woke up in a hotel one morning after a sexscapade she did not remember, and said, "What the hell am I doing this to myself for?", and she became a good Citizen then. I admire that, as much as I deeply admire Nichelle Nichols in her story as a black woman, groundbreaking in her role.
She told the story of wanting to leave Star Trek, but in a conversation that Martin King told her she could not as her presence there was too important to the Civil Rights movement.
You never think of Nichelle Nichols as some offensive person. She is someone who did what was right in her persona and even though she was like too many Star Trek women, used by that damned Gene Roddenberry, she overcame and is someone you think about fondly.

But then I see today that old Spock keeled over from a bad heart in February. There was a man who had one role and he did it well, as he had enough time to perfect. Leonard Nimoy sucked as Spock in the pilot and it took him almost the first season to get what Jolene Blaylock did from the opening or the character who played Spock's old man perfected.
Spock was a liberal and he offended people, even if his Sightings program was pretty good. He could not act, but he played Spock well.
That brings us back to William Shatner. I was always bothered when Mr. Shatner was attacked by bratty rich kids making fun of his acting as Captain Kirk. Shatner defined that role and did it with perfection. He was an actor of noteable accomplishment in acting with Spencer Tracey early in his career. This man can act, had a wide range, can do comedy, is likeable, and he even had a hot chic partner in Marcy from the first Star Trek movie, even if she could not act in the least.
I just do not like it that William Shatner with his Ipod was so fast on the Tweet. Why is he watching Ted Cruz and the GOP so close. Why does it matter when people on the right say something or have a song that these leftist hose bags blow up about. DeForrest Kelly played Bones the doctor, and he was the emotional side of humanity, and both Spock and Bones formed one character, James Tiberius Kirk. I am saddened that James Kirk has been killed off as a character, not meaning the movies, but in the reality of Kirk was killed when they made Star Trek juniors in those horrid actors they chose from that Spocklar fag from Heroes and that fat little fucktard who plays young Jimmy Kirk.
For the good of Star Trek, the characters who died early should have lived, and the ones who hung on should have died. I had always wanted to be rich enough to buy the DVD version of Star Trek. I remember in watching an old Tattle Tales in one of the Hollywood parents mentioned their kid had a VCR and recorded all the Star Trek series. I was hurt to envious of this as my Star Trek was a fuzzed out broadcast channel which I got about half of the program and it was all snowy. I have never seen Star Trek as it was intended...............I have recorded one episode and was shocked how good of radio it was.
No this is not about begging for a donation from some richtard either for Star Trek, as I need a blessed lot more than a 108 dollar DVD set. I do not know in dealing with Star Trek if my not being God is a good thing or not. I would have changed James Doohan with George Takei for an exit to keep the continuity of the series and probably kept Boner in the world and divided up his exit between Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner.......a sort of mild dimentia for both, so they would be pitied and not offend anyone who once appreciated what the writer, directors and Desilu did in creating that series which made the final frontier something to dream about, instead of be repelled by in Buck Rogers.

TL and I watched an old First Contact with John Lick Dick, and I did note something in that which people who stopped reading this, should have kept reading for, as they repeated the Destruct Sequence of the Original Star Trek, but played it in seconds instead of the 8 minutes the original series produced as high drama. That entire movie was shot so fast that the story line never developed. I noted Magic Carpet Ride was rerecorded to, and it was two beats faster than that song of the 1960's by Steppenwolf was recorded.
