Secretary of State

https://uproxx.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/batman-robin-double-punch.gif?w=650

The only diplomacy America needs is a one two punch

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

I find that the published short list in the New York Times for the position of Secretary of State offensively weak.

Weak because some Rand Paul problems do not like Rudy Guiliani.
Corker is not up to it. Bolton is detested as  Neocon. Haley is a fraud. Khalizad is too Muslim sounding. McChrystal put Americans into Obama fire pit kill zones in Afnamistan. Romney......we don't need another loser thinking he is President affecting US policy like Kerry and McCain.

Secretary of State

Whether Mr. Trump picks an ideologue or a seasoned foreign policy hand from past Republican administrations, his challenge will be that the State Department is the centerpiece of the post-1945 experiment of alliance-building and globalism, which Mr. Trump said he would dismantle.
John R. Bolton Former United States ambassador to the United Nations under George W. Bush
Bob Corker Senator from Tennessee and chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee
Rudolph W. Giuliani Former New York mayor who campaign officials said on Tuesday is the leading contender for the job
Nikki R. Haley Governor from South Carolina
Zalmay Khalilzad Former United States ambassador to Afghanistan
Stanley A. McChrystal Former senior military commander in Afghanistan
Mitt Romney The 2012 Republican presidential nominee and former governor of Massachusetts

As I am listened to less than a clanging bell outside a Trump golf course, I would offer this person as the perfect Secretary of State:

John Lehman, official photo as Secretary of the Navy, 1982.JPEG

John Lehman.

John Francis Lehman, Jr. (born September 14, 1942) is an American investment banker and writer who served as Secretary of the Navy in the Reagan administration where he promoted the creation of a 600-ship Navy. From 2003 to 2004 he was a member of the 9/11 Commission.
Lehman currently serves on the National Security Advisory Council for the Center for Security Policy (CSP), and on the board of trustees for the think tank Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI). Lehman is also a member of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States and has signed some policy letters produced by the Project for the New American Century. He also served as an advisor to Sen. John McCain for the 2008 presidential race, and for Mitt Romney in his 2012 bid.

John Lehman stood in the breach for Ronald Reagan and is a proven force to be reckoned with.

In addition, I advocate for Jim Webb, the Democrat who challenged Hillary Clinton for the nomination. Webb is tough as nails, is a reach out to Democrats, and is a Navy man like Lehman, for Undersecretary.

You want peace. You put in two tough bastards so you do not have to ever pull the trigger.

I sincerely hope that Marine is Secretary of Defense, as this is the perfect combination of State and Defense implementing Donald Trump policy so we do not have war. All of these men are Soviet experts and Russian experienced. America needs this, as reaching detente with President Putin and Russia, solves China and the Mideast.
Call that the Lame Cherry Russian Gambit.

James N. Mattis Retired Marine Corps general and former commander of United States Central Command

I have kept my two cents out of this out of respect for Mr. Trump, but I will now have my say, and the Trump monitors should pay attention, as by God's Grace I tend to be right about things.

Mr. Guiliani is best suited to set Homeland on a course where it is not stalking Americans, but is protecting Americans.
