My Kind of Rant

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

I wanted on this gloomy Sabbath of our world is as the disciples thinking of how Jesus is dead and we are scattered without hope, before the Glorious rising of the Son upon Heavenly Horizons upon the first day of the week, that I wanted to share a note I just received from Paul, as he provided some wonderful movie to view, and importantly I wanted to celebrate his family, especially the legacy of his Father on earth, who is a truly remarkable man as is Paul.

I share this, because like most of you, you will read it and say, "Well my dad sucked and not everyone has Ward Cleaver", because I could say the same thing, as honestly my dad accomplished nothing in life, but taking that bribe that the regime gave Veterans after World War II so they would not revolt, and sat on his ass pretending like millions of other males, that they were all John Paul Getty.
In that world, a man with little money could live comfortable, have the American dream of a house and a car, and all he had to do was work and save money, because he was not taxed to poverty as inflation did not exist.

TL and I were talking about this Greatest Generation that Tom Brokaw bragged about. Well there was another shiftless generation in this group, who did not go to war, but hid at home, drank beer, were cowards and made sure they kept the wife knocked up so the draft board did not draft them.  That was my socialist old man and all the ilk I watched as a child who lost their parent's farms, because they were trash.
There were two Americas in that generation, and no one speaks about that whining bully class which was sloven and never accomplished a thing, and set their children back as they never gave them a start.

That is the difference in Paul's family. The world was an adventure and Paul's Father on earth was an adventuresome giant.  The Basque are a wonderful People like most peoples are, but highly exploited. Basque used to come to America not that long ago to herd sheep for slave wages, living alone all summer on the high parks, protecting their flocks or more amusingly killing sheep and reporting it as coyotes when the tight ass rancher would not buy food for them.
The Trapper stories are remarkable in coming into contact with the Basque in doing predator control work. I do not mean to write a novel here, as it will get in the way of Paul's wonderful Easter American Saga which I delighted in so very much, as he and many of you who do contact me, are of this wonderful Christian family.

TL came from a family which I rolled my eyes over, as they were Dindo worshipers, the text coming out of them was "going to Africa as missionary", "putting together a soap basket for grubby Africans", and I do not know what all in that Baptist, and home worship group came up with where the old man was fixated on proof Jesus existed in witnesses, because he had no Faith, but they were pass the buck as was my old man. dad for me was a show of nice to other people and treated us like dirt, while TL's parentals was the display of holier than you, as they treated TL horrid.
That is what Paul's Father shines at and what he mean for me. He had a parent I dreamed of having and as we are family, I share in his wonderful parent, as I do in the Viking's Mom and Captain Kirk's brave Father. People tell me things of their families, even Sandy whose son just had a baby boy, in all she overcame to bring her family to this point in their lives, as it is all God's Grace, it is Jesus carrying us through, and if we get short changed, we can celebrate that God did not let us turn into our horrid parents, but instead delivered us to be better people, and in that we in having a Heavenly Father can celebrate those who have such wonderful parents.

What fine examples we have in people doing good. I particularly liked that Paul's Dad raised Labrador Retrievers.  I am  a sucker for hunting dogs and is one of my great dreams to one day train and hunt dogs again, as I think I could walk forever on a grassy scene of Heaven were endless clouds of grouse, pheasant, partridge, quail rose before my dogs which are in Heaven now making wonderful casts in a sun that never set, but just hung in that pretty twilight forever.

Paul can not brag about himself, but I do brag about each of you.

God bless the Good and that Christ Who rose is coming to return to claim each of us. There is a better day coming and a much better life.

LC and TL: Thank you for your mention and making me “our Paul in California” ( I moved to Nevada in 2016)..delighted my ego. Also warmed my heart to read, our, as I consider myself proudly yours as a fellow Christian. Been a netflix member since 2005 with nearly 3000 movies. For your western consideration: Tom Horn (McQueen's 2nd to last movie made in 1980 the year he died..he reportedly accepted Christ before he died)..Will Penny(Charlton Heston)..Missouri Breaks(Brando and Nickelson)..Hud(Melvyn Douglas was memorable)..Track of the Cat(eerie and offbeat)..Monte Walsh(Lee Marvin Jack Palance..sad cowboy story)..Lonely are the Brave(Kirk Douglas)..Comes a Horseman(thought Jane Fonda made a beautiful tough cowgirl)..Giant(thought James Dean was cool in an epic story). Parents in Calif got us hooked on movies in late 50's when life in Calif was like Leave it to Beaver.

My wonderful Dad was from Basque sheep ranching stock and moved to Calif with his family..worked as ditch digger, elevator boy and taxi driver in SF(when it was conservative)..started as a construction laborer and became a residential building contractor in the bay area for 40 years..never drank or smoked or chased women..he was movie star handsome and built like an NFL running back..had an accent from living in Europe..joined the Marines and was a grunt landing on the beaches of Saipan and Tinian in the Pacific..saw and experienced terrible things but never showed any after affects..was a terrific winning little league coach without abusing his kids..was an operatic baritone who sang on the Eddie cantor radio show for the troops in appearances with Tyrone Power and was in Hollywood talent contests..He bred and raised hundreds of litters of field trial(athletes) labrador retrievers and shipped them all over the US and Canada..raised and raced homing pigeons and won show prizes at the fairs with them..took up painting in his last years..remember his crying at the dentists office when I'd broken a front tooth working on one of his jobs.. I can't brag about myself but I could go on and on talking about him..I forgot to say he was an avid conservative republican..loved Nixon and Reagan and would have been horrified at the level of evil that exists today and was a believer from his youth and would tell his 4 sons to say their prayers at night. Sorry about the rant. Grateful for the tremendous good you do..try to increase your audience as I mention your blog on conservative sites I visit and kept trying to advise the Liberty daily to amend Lime Cherry. Opted out of Drudge and hope millions of others will as well. Godspeed, yours in Christ, Paul
