The Plasma Power Station

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

I often reference scientific achievement through the lens of the original Star Trek as a time line of human advancement and something is appearing out of Skunk Works in Lockhead Martin which will shift the human paradigm as far as the internal combustion engine did.

In the Star Trek  episode an  alien is telling Mr.Scott that anti matter engines can be the size of a walnut. Scottie is scoffing at that, but as we see human miniaturization taking place from cell phones to drones, the reality is that the United States technology revolution is about to take a leap into the future.

This was posted on Zero Hedge and the basis of it is that Lockhead Martin is in the process of making a nuclear fusion reactor the size of a shipping container. The United States has always been a leader in military small scale reactors, but this prototype will have the power of the sun in miniature an will operate on minuscule amounts of fuel.

“Patents for the reactor were filed in 2014 by the company’s advanced research division, Skunk Works, with the aim of having its compact fusion reactor (CFR) ready by 2019. While it has obviously missed that deadline, the delay does not mean the technology is to be left behind. As Dr. Thomas McGuire, head of Skunk Works’ Compact Fusion Project, detailed in a 2014 report, the smaller reactor is more feasible than a large-scale one. If the system functions as expected, the CFR could take 11kg of fuel in the form of the hydrogen isotopes deuterium and tritium, and run the reactor for an entire year without needing to stop.

The time line in this is much quicker as gone are the huge nuclear power plants which required years to const
ruct, “In general, fusion reactor 110 is a device that generates power by confining and controlling plasma that is used in a nuclear fusion process. Fusion reactor 110 generates a large amount of heat from the nuclear fusion process that may be converted into various forms of power. For example, the heat generated by fusion reactor 110 may be utilized to produce steam for driving a turbine and an electrical generator, thereby producing electricity. As another example, as discussed further below in reference to FIG. 2, the heat generated by fusion reactor 110 may be utilized directly by a turbine of a turbofan or fanjet engine of an aircraft instead of a combustor.”and now these fusion reactors are plug and play and could be manufactured cheaply by the thousands.

Throughout that time, it would be consistently pumping out 100MW of power, enough to power up to 80,000 homes. When discussing how it could impact aircraft design, Lockheed Martin said that this amount of power would allow it to fly indefinitely and would only be hampered by the crew’s need for food and water on the ground. The likelier option is that this would translate extremely well into drone aircraft used to patrol the skies for years at a time, which, admittedly, sounds a little terrifying.”

I believe that the covering patent in this is akin to building a train to flatten pennies, meaning everyone is focused on the heat in traditional gas turbines or a nuclear heat jet fan. What the real fields in this are generating a plasma, electrical or magnetic pulse within the magnetic field by exciting the materials. I would term this a plasma arc.

Heat expansion is acceptable for earth movement as long as there is something to push against as it expands. The key to this is to generate magnetic or plasma fields which would arc electrical current. A device which could  energize 80,000 homes would power a vast array of shielding, traction beams or  offensive weapons a in an amp pulse.

It is wonderful to build a high technology water heater, but creating an engine which produced thrust through electronic waves or magnetic push, would be an engine which would operate anywhere from space to earth and would produce close to light speeds.

What is of course is required for consumers is then a superconductor wire to transit this electricity without any line feed bleed, which would turn 80,000 homes into 160,000 homes. Every locality should have a main super conductor line with off  shoots for energy distribution efficiency. Energy is wasted due to metal wire resistance to electricity moving through it.

Enough of the science lesson.
