As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.
The Table of Duties of Martin Luther is one I had looked forward too, but having my own homelessness and turmoils here, I have discovered that Luther did not expound upon the various positions and Christian necessity, so this is exhausting in taking more time to accomplish than I have.
For employers, great trust has been entrusted to them by God, and in great disappointment, most employers are failures in caring for their workers like family.
Abraham had a household, which was his employment community and they were counted as family. Yet in the modern world, the suits run endless scams as in listening conferences which are designed to make employees think people are listening to them, while being mistreated.
Unions have lost all their thug protection of workers in they another community organized mob of the feudal directors on top living in luxury while the members have good wages, but rarely work due to the importation of foreign labor which their political union backs.
The Bible has numerous examples of rich people in control of so many lives, and in only one example is the person spoken of well. Exploiting people is the real term for Employers.
Jeremiah 9:23
Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
No one ever forgets the reality that rich people have their god in money and power, and refuse to obey God, as Jesus the Christ noted. Most end up in hell in Judgment, because they have cast of the humanity and humane for the lifeless god of profit and power.
Matthew 19:24
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Here are but a few verses about all of you rich people who in being noted in Scripture. The last is about the rich man and Lazarus, who ended up in hell, suffering torment as Lazarus finally was awarded Paradise. Feeding poor people crumbs and having dogs lick sores for medical treatment, is not an employer, but a cruel livestock merchant dealing in humans as waste stock. Ruining people's lives, sodomizing them, enslaving them is done by the millions across the globe and in the end before Christ, employers will be Judged for all of that.
Luke 12:16
And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
Luke 16:19
There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
The most powerful people you now could name from George Soros to Bill Gates will all be dead as the most retched bum on the street. Neither will take one penny with them, and all that will remain is the record of how they treated other people.
Job 27:19
The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.
Martin Luther states specifically that there is not any difference between the person in charge and the person doing the work in God's eyes. Both are subject to the 10 Commandments and both will be held absolutely responsible for their actions. As Jesus noted, "to whom much has been given, much will be required to answer for". Employers need to remember the jeopardy they are in, and stop preening as if they are loved by God more for having power.
God gathers riches to the wicked to distribute to the just. A wicked employer has a purpose in employing people, but that does not make them any more special to God. The Jews of the Sanhedrin were wicked and had a purpose of Jesus birth and death, to fulfill the Prophecies. They were not there because they were apples of God's Eyes.
The rich like to think of themselves as more than expensive toilet paper, flushed down gold plated toilets, but that is the reality in this life, in they have the same purpose, and go the same way as the bargain bulk toilet paper which goes to the same flush.
To Employers and Supervisors
Masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that He who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with Him. Eph. 6:9
In all the Bible in discussing rich people, only Joseph of Arimathaea is noted as an upstanding man. He alone when to Pilate for the body, placing his own life in jeopardy. He did what was right and humane in the worst of situations. The condemnation is that most employers are horrid in the best of times.
Matthew 27:57
When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:
Andrew Carnegie, built an American steel empire which ruled the world, and later in penance gave away a great deal of that fortune in public projects, like building libraries all across immigrant America. I doubt many of you have any idea of those great works, and the library in my town has been converted to a museum. The rich think they are forever in these titans of business ruling the lives of thousands of employees, but like Steve Jobs being dead, Apple computer goes on, fails on, and no one care what Jobs did as people are living life and trying to wrest a wage from an employer.
Unless you are someone like my beloved Uncle, no one is going to remember you after the day you died, and in 20 years, even his memory will be a footnote in no one will speak of him anymore.
An employer who is a steward to their employees, fare much better in having employees who protect that business, instead of find ways to even things out in pilfering time, office supplies or whatever when they see the boss having great healthcare, going on trips constantly and driving a new vehicle all the time, while the employee has never had a new car.
After all the work of Henry Ford, his company is there but almost went bankrupt due to devious plots to make shoddy vehicles to force poor people to buy new ones. An employer as much as the employee needs to place their treasure in Heaven, as the one earth will not last, and treating people well on earth as employees brings praise to God, instead of a constant berating of curses.
Pullman cars is nothing.Standard Oil is gone. Hughes is a byword. Homestake gold has vanished. All the major industries of a few year ago are gone. All that remains is the White Throne Judgment. Employers would do well to understand that fact.
James 1:11
For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
