Let us face it that most movies you can download are disappointments like package deal movies or movies that say James Caan is in them and you never see the guy.
So when TL found this movie named Lady Snowblood, I was figuring it was going to be dismal as I just saw Robert Duval looking like a future penis, having sex with some diseased looking woman ina a George Lucas film of pure torture of thee most hideous sort.
Ok it did not help if the movie started out with a bawling baby that cried too long, but she is the star in Lady Snowblood, a child of the netherworld. I'm not going to ruin the plot if you take the time to look for it on Bitchute or other venues, but once it got going with the attractive female lead, I turned to TL and said, "This is a pretty good movie". Then TL said, "Yes and it is from 1973". That would be AD in the year of our Lord.
Let us face it that most 70's movies like Dirty Harry suck and do not hold up. Most Japanese movies are horrific, unless Kurasawa was directing, then thee Americans stole the ideas like the Magnificent Seven.
You remember the cheesy Godzilla fare and how bad all of that was, but this Lady Snowblood as I was watching it I told TL, "This thing looks like Anime". That point alone says something as the best of Japanese Anime is Hellsing and Cowboy Bebop, seemed to define the genre decades later......and then you realize that standard for all Anime is Lady Snowblood. They stole the blueprint of this movie because it worked wonderfully in telling a story.

That is when as we discussed this film, TL mentioned that this looked like Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill. Yes now we know where that turd got his ideas from in it was a Japanese movie that no one had seen. No credit given, but that is what Kill Bill is, Lady Snowblood.
Now that we understand the genius behind this influential movie, you need to be prepared for not blood splatter, but of blood sploosh. This was the first time I heard blood having it's own sound effects as a character. This stuff sprays, gushes, gurgles, run, pours and in a testament in how good it is, at one point it drips and marks time. This is really something special in the director and writer making blood a character as it has never been before or since in a movie.
All of the characters, including the blood are very good. Lady Snowblood is outstanding in she really can act, but then so can all the other actors. This is a real story being told, and it is not driven by violence or gore. It is a story about a woman seeking revenge for the murder of her parents and how she was brought into this world by a bitch in heat.
This is the kind of movie you contemplate. The Chinese have stolen this movie in all of their wonderful epic films of fighters with remarkable ability, but the Chinese do not have a story to tell which drives through the action, no more than Quentin Tarantino could do anything more than Spielberg and Lucas in their shitty serials from the 1950's in Star Wars and Raiders.
What ever the movies were in 1973, Lady Snowblood was the best film and the Academy failed once again.
I have always wanted to make movies. I still would if some rich person with shitty children wanted to give them a vocation and fund my movies, I would gladly put them through their paces, including firing their asses if they though they were prima donas who could act.
It would be much too much to undertake the human form of Anime, and I had wondered how it would work, considering how shitty those Batman, Marvel and other dung heaps of cinema have not transferred as Hollywood is just soulless, unless the greatest star in history, Joaquin Phoenix is cast as the Joker............and yes to remind you, it was the Lame Cherry who wrote that time line for this to happen, and it did, and it was written long before the movie was even written or cast.

It would be very easy in this world of shitty woke movies which only make shitty woke movies or shitty woke remakes to create a domination of cinema and drive what movies should be again. It is a void and people are so yearning for only what a writer of my talent could produce.
Now you know the power of one Japanese movie which changed cinema, defined cinema and created careers which never gave it any credit.
