The German Shepherd

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

The following needs to be said.

I have been owned by dogs most of my life. Every dog I have ever had was a nice dog. In fact, my dogs are too friendly.

While I can not speak as an expert on German Shepherds, we have a good friend in Sandy who is a lifelong expert on this breed and I will make some points about the German Shepherd.

We actually have a rescue GS who had been severely hurt as a puppy, injured some more and abandoned. When we got him, he clung to TL and that was it, as we had a dog I really did not want as I am not a German Shepherd person and I will explain this.

Unlike Sandy, the majority of people who want a German Shepherd are as unfit as the people who have those Goddamn security and fighting dogs. They are weak people and like fast motorcycles, leather jackets or whatever want a dog to project a statement about them. That is a huge problem as neurotic people should not have dogs that will injure others.
My brother had like 5 dogs before he succumbed to the vax. They were all worthless as hell. The one he found was stupid as a post and he ended up shooting it. The others were snapping and barking shits that no one liked. One of my most pleasant memories was one of his little shits took off chasing the neighbor's dog barking and hit some metal and tore a gash that head to be sewn up by the vet. It was an expense I appreciated for all the dislike I had for him and those shitty dogs of his.

Most people who have German Shepherds put on leather collars with studs. All tough gal shit and they are infatuated with the idea  that this dog will empower them. They never think of the taking care of the dog in potty, training and grooming or how the dog comes first like a child in you have to work around them when you have a dog. Our dog is with us 24 hours a day. He is in the home. He goes everywhere with us. He is like all of our animals in having complete personality and abundant character which makes him most interesting as he and the cat, Fuzzy, have this relationship where she gets into his way, he then puts her head in his mouth. She mews in scolding. He does more. She then bats at him and it ends up she bites him on the nose, holding on, and then he freezes, and it ends up with her licking his nose.

It is the family ritual.

For Sandy, who is normal, her GS are normal. They are sweet, affectionate, good natured and happy puppies. They will protect her, but they look more like stuffed toys than ever exhibiting anything like a guard dog.

For abnormal people, like the Dictator of 1600 Penn, you get a dog that bites people. Why does that happen? Because the Bidens are that kind of weak people who are looking to make a point and the dog is an extension of them. Dogs get frustrated when their masters are not around and they act out.

Our "problem" with our dog is he is too loving. Yes a German Shepherd can be so happy and so loving if you are not a tyrant.

By the Holy Ghost, instinct, when our GS came home, I knew I had to bond more with him, so one afternoon when he was laying on his rug, I got onto the floor and laid down by him. Yes he exploded in joy at the contact, but he settled down enough, that I laid my leg on top of him and cuddled with him. He was in heaven with that closeness after all he had been put through. He still loves being close, but is more secure.
When we got him, I straddled him and would run my hand down his tail. He would react like it was a challenge to him and act out. Now he is the one who slides between TL's and my legs when we are standing as his show of affection and he does not react to touching his tail as it is his telling us he loves submitting as an alpha male.

That is the reason I am always wary of people who say they want a German Shepherd. Everyone one of them is off in their head in thinking what the dog will do in projecting them, and that is not why you get a dog.

German Shepherds really are too much dog for most people. They have loads of energy, they are exuberant, they are way to genius for people and they have strong wills. The other day he ran into TL and flattened TL by mistake. He was heartily sorry for the mistake and licked TL and was most submissive.  You can not have a dog like that around children who are immature or elderly people. They would not provide the nurturing discipline or the dog in turn would break the oldster.

The reality is if the Biden's wanted a dog, they should have stayed their asses in Delaware and raised a dog instead of neglecting that dog and ruining what is left of America in DC.

I see German Shepherds around the Brier. Some on farms which seem to sort of suit them, but others are tied out in the rain in town or looking not too happy in no one paying attention to them.

Long ago, I read in a gun magazine an old hunter who said "When you get a dog, that dog belongs with you. You get a rug for them to lie on by your desk, where you watch tv and they sleep on the floor in your bedroom. The dog knows you then and you know the dog. You have a bond and you do not end up with a problem dog.
We make a point that our dog is with us all the time. He is either in the house with us or outside with us. There is never any letting the dog out alone to shit to run off or wander off, so some neighbor can accuse the dog of something or some jackass can run the dog over. That is what having a dog is.

There is none of that shit of taking the dog to the country and letting it run loose as the car drives along "exercising the dog". Nope our dog is with us on walks, he runs like hell, plays hard, interacts with us and loves us. We never have a dog in our house that has not turned off their energy levels an we never have a dog that needs to go burn off energy.
Yes he reminds us like clockwork when it is time to go or that we need to pay attention to him. The point is he is not locked in a kennel, and he has direct access to us to express his needs and they are fulfilled.

Out dog is friendly to everyone. There is a reason for that. There is also a reason the Biden dog is biting chunks out of Secret Service Agents.

The Biden's are really cat people.
