As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.
As with all things in this private conversation on the best blog in the world, this is about my life experiences and insights, so people can be more informed about decisions in their lives.
I recently acquired a home defense firearm. Yes I have firearms, but I never before have owned one specifically for the purpose of home defense. In short, this firearm is meant to kill people, in the event of a meltdown, when the police and FBI no longer exist, due to Mexicans eating them or Russia vaporizing them. Those are the realities of District of Criminal's policies and as Jesus said to buy a sword, with the little resources I have, I decided when things looked like they were taking the next Darwin step down to purchase a 187 dollar Turkish made pump shotgun. The Turks make excellent cheap and crafted firearms.
I would love to buy American, but that is impossible as most are foreign owned or oligarch rapine has ruined or overpriced the items. I love the Remington 870 design and that is what this Pardus of the Bourbon Firearm company resembles.
This gun is not for carrying around, not for hunting, not for shooting 1000 rounds through. This gun is for sitting with the addition of clothes and glow in the dark strips on the sites to kill anyone who tries to break into our home or harm our livestock. This is the Winchester 92 of the old west.
This shotgun is light, but not too light. It honestly in pulling it up, fits me better than any firearm I have ever thrown to my shoulder. While it has the 870 features of behind the trigger guard safety and in front of the trigger guard magazine release, it does not balance barrel heavy like the Remingtons. This one reminds me more of the elder Winchester Model 12 which I cut my teeth on shooting ducks for the supper table as a child.
It has a rubber butt pad for cushion, good sights, good plastics that feel durable and a solid grip which is what you want. Everything on it is tight.
This gun will have a stock ammo pouch as my other surival guns have as surplus ammo. As I stated, I will add some glow in the dark features to the sites for night aiming, and it will be fed 00 ought buckshot. It will sit in the corner and I hope to never have to use it, but that is where it will sit, collecting dust until TL or I have need of it. This is not a gun for civilization. This is a gun for when civilization is gone with police protection.
I have wanted one of these for years, but I could not afford the Remingtons, with the smooth slug 18 inch barrel with sights as the barrels cost as much as this entire shotgun did.
This is a meat and potatoes US Marines shotgun for trench warfare. Nothing fancy. No long barrel to hook on things or have someone get between it and me and kill me, and no pistol butt stock to not aim precisely. This is a shotgun which goes off at 10 feet. No one gets closer than that, because by the time the human brain says to pull the trigger, the assailant is at 6 feet and that is no margin for error. You let any attacker close as they are taught to short range and you will have hand to hand combat where you will probably lose as their hands are free as you try to hold onto the gun.
I would that we were in a world of Andy Griffith, but that is not the world we have entered and it is degrading. I would be lovely to have unarmed police officers settling things by talking, but our thin blue line is fractured and I do not intend to wait until it is gone to try and purchase defense.
This Turk gun is not a Matt Walsh 410 pussy gun. The US Marines do not shoot 410's when it matters. They shoot 12 gauge shotguns with 2 3/4 inch loads, so the recoil is manageable. I do not shoot magnum loads as I do not need the gun recoiling so much that I do not have time to recover if I miss or if there are other assailants moving toward me.
I will keep the plug in the magazine for 3 shot Federal waterfowl, as 3 shots is what I'm used to. It will in fact be 2 in the magazine as I never keep a round in the chamber for safety sake.
To put this in US Marine Corp terms, you want a firearm that blows a big hole while making a big blast to affect neutralization with one shot, so no additional shots are required like with a 410. You want such a charge hitting someone intent on harming you lethally that they forget completely about doing you any harm. Just like the DC cops blew Ashli Babbitt out the door, that is the purpose of one round in one stop. I do not intend to ever be shooting unarmed petite little girls though as I'm not a DC cop working for the DIA.
What decisions women make in their defense are their own. This is my private discourse on personal choices in the defense of my person. I like the choice as this is all I can afford. It seems to be a sound weapon for collecting dust in the corner like most of the things I have.
For the gun people who always are saying buy the 1000 dollar gun as that is what they would do. Then get off your tight ass and donate the 1000 bucks here and go give the 1000 to another woman so they an afford your advice.
I hope it has a layer when Jesus comes back that I can sprout tomatoes in.
