As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.
I decided to make candied carrots in a 4 quart Presto, no recipe and I was delighted as I got these nicely sweet orange baby carrots.
1 bag baby carrots
I cup unpacked brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
About 1/2 inch of water in the bottom of the cooker.
Bring it up to steam, put on the weight, bring that up to 15 pounds, let it cook 5 minutes and turn it off.
It takes longer to bring it up to steam than cook, but while I love candied carrots all rich and brown, these are a really nice surprise as all that nasty strong carrot flavor is gone. Like eating fairy pee carrots in they are so delicate.
Anyway that is the recipe and it worked with no scorching or meltdowns.
