France 1977 - The Guillotine Execution
As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.
The 5th Commandment is one of the most misquoted and abused of all the Commandments, causing great perplexity in the moral soul and the liberal ignorant heart, for the Commandment is about murder and not killing.
God provides for His children to defend themselves with lethal force. God provides for nations to kill other nations warring with them, and God mandates for Governments to carry out deliberated public executions to keep order in society.
For those who timidly claim that prisons are a solution, there is the reality that in order to keep a murderer, rapist or pedophile in prison, the Citizen must pay for that honor in serving the criminal, while taking life work from them, so it is in fact a double murder in negating judicial executions.
The Sixth Commandment
Thou shalt not murder.
We should fear and love God that we should not hurt nor harm our neighbor in his body, but help and befriend him in every bodily need.
The first murder is a perfect example of the sin which leads to murder, and all crimes against God and people. God had blessed two brothers, Cain and Able with abundant crops and flocks. Cain brought grains before God with the attitude that God should be thankful to Cain for giving something to God. Abel brought his flocks, with a heart which honored God for providing the increase, in Abel knew he owed everything to God.
God accepted Abel's offering, and rejected Cain's. To this Cain was upset at being deposed from occupying the place of God in his heart. God saw this and warned Cain to not nurture that anger, and he had to master it, or it would rule him.
Cain's envy and anger did rule him, and he led his brother out to a field and murdered him.
There is a difference between killing to defend yourself, your nation and your society, and murdering people.
Genesis 4:6 - 7
6And the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why is your face downcast?
7If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you refuse to do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; you are its object of desire, but you must master it.”
There are rules though in killing which is legal in Christianity and murder which is not ever legal. An example would be that even in horrendous crime of you discovering someone raping your child, you can not gut shoot the sod, and then blow off their limbs slowly. It is forbidden by God to "twist the knife" as that misbehavior is not Justice and couches something in the innocent person's heart which harms them. A lethal strike to subdue and end the bodily threat is what Christianity teaches.
Nations can not use cruel and unusual punishments as Americans put it.. A quick and clean execution is what is mandated, as much as armies can not mass rape as the Soviets did Germans, or the English did the Americans or Spaniards, nor is it acceptable for Muslim armies to terrorize captives in cutting off their heads.
God's Law is specific. Anyone who murders, their life will be forfeit to end that threat to society.
Genesis 9:6
Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
Many ignorant people misquote the Bible, in the Beatitudes of Blessed are the meek and Blessed are the peacemakers. Of course they are empowered and will inherit goodness, but always remember that Moses was meek and he stood up to world government and let a nation. Jesus drove people out of the Temple with a whip for violating the Temple, and David had peace for Solomon, because David with the sword and armies, dictated the terms of peace and had the means to enforce that peace for good.
Meekness and Peacemaking is not based in whipping boys or conscientious objectors.
Matthew 5:5
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
It is the couching of sin, the rudeness which begins the process of murder. Murder begins with being shamed. There is a difference between being ashamed of sin, and being humiliated in shame. Rightly in Cain's place or wrongly in being bullied, that feeling of helplessness, produces fear, which produces frustration, which produces anger, which begins rage in retaliation, which produces murder.
Murder just does not happen in an instant. It takes years of development to sear that human cords inside to end caring about others, which is what murder is.
It begins with being angry with people not for legitimate reasons or mocking people in degrading them. That is why Christ says those are defined as murder in hating people without cause, and why Christ counsels to love your enemies by your doing good, and yes standing up for yourself is part of that, but it also is explained by Christ that you pray for those people to repent which is a horrific ordeal as you know in human souls, and you trust in God for Him to recompense on these people for the evil they have done.
In criminal matters, that is what the Police are for, to be the non lynch mob administrators of equal justice under the law, by the courts.
Matthew 5:22
But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
All of us are well aware now that our's a world where criminals are the protected, as the Citizen is the one who faces penalties for protecting themselves. That is what corrupt regimes administer to cow populations into submission to maintain power by the few. That is another discourse, but the days of thee America Old West in hanging criminals or gun fights in the street is over, as the Citizen would be in prison for "taking the law into their own hands" and often are hounded by prosecutors when they are innocent and had every right to defend themselves.
The world has changed a great deal from the teaching of Martin Luther.
The world may change, but the Commandments and the hearts of people remain the same.
16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
