Office of the Keys: Confession and Absolution

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

I believe that there are two beautiful Christian heritages in the first is the King James translation of the Bible in all it's poetic Glory of God, and the second is the Confession and Absolution Inspired by the Holy Ghost and written by Martin Luther.
Both of which have been degraded by self serving and unholy people in Christianity who have deprived the Body of Christ of the most stirring of Words of the Word of God.

The works of men like the Mona Lisa do not have modern artists fixing them in painting on them. No one thinks of rewriting the Preamble to the Constitution or Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, but there is non stop blasphemy and profanity in these types skulking around in Christianity who have thrown away the Inspiration of the Holy Ghost for their tepid remarks which have ill effects on the soul and Spirit.

The Missouri Synod Lutherans have robbed me of my worship and have made something which was beautiful into something mundane.

No better recitation for the Christian in worship will ever be compose than the one by the Holy Ghost through Martin Luther. It is the basis for Christian admission and pleading of our sins and our need for God.

Confession:

O Almighty God, merciful Father, I a poor miserable sinner, confess unto Thee all my sins and iniquities with which I have ever offended Thee and justly deserved Thy temporal and eternal punishment. But I am heartily sorry for them and sincerely repent of them, and I pray Thee of Thy boundless Mercy, and for the sake of Thy Holy, Innocent, bitter suffering and  death of Thy beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to be Gracious and Merciful to me,  a poor sinful being. Amen

Each of us in our Confession confesses from the reality of the responsibility which God has placed upon us. Too many think that because they are high in the Church or have money in the community that they can sit back and enjoy being adored. Adoration is for God alone. I repeat ADORATION IS FOR GOD ALONE. Jesus informed all of us that the greatest or most powerful among us is the servant of all, as God expects more from these people. If you are rich, then why are you not helping others with God's money in investing in the Christian community instead of proving what a poor soul you are in needing money and not Jesus to validate you.
You have a police badge or are in position of authority. You are not in that position to bully and intimidate or extort things from the weaker people. You have a responsibility to your Father in Heaven just as a child has the responsibility to police themselves before their earthly parents.

What instruction does Dr. Luther give us for examining ourselves before Confession?

Here consider your station according to the 10 Commandments, whether you are a father, mother, son, daughter, master, mistress, servant, whether you have been disobedient, unfaithful, slothful; whether you have grieved any person by word or deed; whether you have stolen, neglected or wasted  aught (small portion) or done other injury.

The beauty of the Confession by the Holy Ghost through Martin Luther is the beauty of the Absolution from Christ's responsible representative on earth. The clergy is not better than anyone, but in them is invested the spoken word to be heard by those infants in Christ who still need to hear that they are forgiven after admitting their sins. This reassurance is as exact as Jesus reaching out and pulling Peter out of the waves when Peter tried to walk on water. All of us at sometime needs to hear someone else tell us the thing we know.
The announcement is the Grace of God to all of the Faithful is the unearned Gift of God for His children. Christ paid for our wrongs, and we work to obey God in the 10 Commandments daily and not repeat those wrongs. Jesus is always the safety net for every Christian when mistakes are made or when falls occur, as too many think they get to a point in Christianity that they are immune from sin and start worshiping themselves. That is when the biggest falls occur from the smallest of things that we think we can handle sin.

Absolution:

Upon this your confession, I virtue of my office, as a called and ordained servant of the Word, announce the Grace of God unto all of you, and in the stead and by the Command of my Lord Jesus Christ, I forgive you all your sins in the Name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Amen

Being absolved of sins, our sins are not retained, but as Christian Faithful are blotted out forever.

John 20:23

Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

We are all a Christian family. When we confess our faults as I have done here, expect the satan spawn to exploit those admission as weakness, instead of praying for you. Sin is a sickness for it is a corruption of the body. That is why Jesus noted that He could say to a cripple to pick up his bed and walk or his sins were forgiven, for the same debt is what keeps sickness in a person.
Those in right standing with God in believing God and following the 10 Commandments are in the mould of Christ in Christ was always in His Father's Will so Christ's prayers in being fervent had great effect.

 James 5: 16

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

All of the family of God must be reconciled not only to God, but to each other. The following teaching of Christ is vital as so many rich people think they can buy off God with donations, instead of rectifying the upheaval in their lives. If you are going before God in prayer or making donations, you have a responsibility to be reconciled to your CHRISTIAN FAMILY if you have wronged them. Yes it is hard, and sometimes they will want to make you grovel as an apology is not enough. You have done your part then, and the sin is upon them for their heart is not right, and you pray for them, but you do have a responsibility to other Christians if you have wronged them to apologize.

Matthew 5

 23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

'
All of our sins are forgiven in Jesus and through Jesus. It is a gift which no other religion has, for no other religion has the Son of God as their Founder.

Matthew 9:2

Son be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee.

In forgiveness of sins there is absolution. We are all absolved of sins guilty of temporal an eternal death by Jesus obeying the Father in laying down His Life and taking that Life up again. There may be government penalties in criminal cases, but with God once you confess, will not repeat those sins ever again, and trust in Jesus the Christ, God puts away our sins for we admit we need Him, and we being His have received Absolution not from men, but from the Source where it is legal, in our Father in Heaven, through Jesus Christ His Son, in the inner workings of the Holy Ghost.

II Samuel 12:13

And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.
