A True Titan Has Passed

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

In this fiction of Ruth Bader Ginsburg as a "titan", a real titan passed away this weekend in Soviet and Russian expert Stephen Cohen.

Stephen Cohen Is Dead: Never Forget His Urgent Warnings Against The New Cold War

I have no idea if this Jew believed in Jesus or where he is at the moment, except for a warm place in my heart, and sincere condolences to his Nation wife, who was the Cinderella communist.

I'm moved to share an experience with Mr. Cohen, of a few years ago, as I advocated for him to be included the Trump administration.

I contacted him, and Mr. Cohen, was a great deal like me, in Mr. Cohen was not a Rush Limbaugh or these other parasites who are too important to reply to correspondences, in Mr. Cohen replied to me.
I had engaged him in respect and the typical LC screed and banter. I mentioned that we had little in common probably as his wife was a leftist, and while it most likely was taken as an insult as I'm frank in my correspondence, he responded diplomatically with a humorous reply as Stephen Cohen was a most secure man.
He was brilliant and never needed to use his intellect to bully people. He was thoughtful and you never had to wait like constipation for his sharing what was on his mind. He was a genuinely gifted gentleman who examined the facts, never needed to insult anyone and enjoyed the engagement of discussion so he could teach. You could learn more from 15 minutes of a Stephen Cohen thought than you could learn from years at the US State Department.

I truly am sad this titan has passed, for his kindness to me, and for the genuine loss of his insights on the Russian and Slavic peoples. We are going to need him as there are not any genuine Russian experts, who the Russian actually admired and would relax in conversations with.

I can explain what the Russian will do and not do, and I can explain the nuances of what nuclear weapons and warfare really is, but I can not in prose address the heart and soul of Russia as Mr. Cohen could and what the nuances of why Russia will respond with nuclear weapons one day.

The world has lost a titan in the death of Stephen Cohen. It is fitting though as the era he was from has closed. Those things he studied of the Soviet Union in the darkest fears of the world of the Russian Bear from her cave and the use of nuclear weapons, will manifest in the time ahead, as Mr. Cohen worked to keep those events from taking place as did President Richard Nixon and President Ronald Reagan.

The world that Stephen Cohen sought to never be seen, is a world which most of us will see.

God rest your soul Mr. Cohen, for your kindness to me.
