In December, new groups, most of which were equipped with B-24s soon started arriving from the United States. 13 new groups were added.
It was hoped that the 15th AF – stationed in the Mediterranean – would be able to operate when the Eighth Air Force (8th AF) in England was socked in by bad English weather.

Doolittle's 15th was so successful in wiping out the Italians and Germans in the south of Europe, that he was appointed to head the 8th Army Air Corp for the final years of the war. The heavy bombers and close fighter bomber support of ground troops, broke the Wehrmacht's back.

What the 15th Air Force is assembling is the Doolittle coordination of resources for an unrelenting and massive blow in surgical strikes to shatter the ability of a nation to make war. You must comprehend this. This is not SAC, Strategic Air Command in long range bombers, or nuclear delivered salvos or kinetic energy weapons from space, the 15th is designed for strategic bombing of an entire nation, as a theater of war. This is a battlefield wing meant to obliterate an enemy's ability to project power and to crumble them from within.

The Navy and Marines are in their Aqua Asia war structure. The 15th is designed to kill a land army and all associated with it. President Donald Trump and SecDef Esper did not bring this wing back to sit there. This organism is going to go out and fight a world war and that war may include slaughtering Chinese invaders in Alaska, Russian invaders in Europe from bases in Africa, or gutting China from bases in India.
