The United States in the Trump Era is moving to the Lame Cherry dream of ultimate weapons, first conceived by this poor orphan girl in the Star Trek episode of Lord Garth, a starship commander who went insane, and had produced explosives where a grain was as explosive as a mountain of TNT.
That of course is not possible in chemical detonations, as they require oxygen of immense proportions for expansion, which an explosion is. What DARPA though has been creating though are hypseronic weapons, where in the old formula of speed times mass equals energy, it is possible to obliterate huge areas, as the way meteorites do.
It is all about speed.
It is the Russians who are paying attention to this K bomb or Kinetic Energy Bomb.
The weapons on the bomber are able to move at 5-times the speed of sound, skip along the boundaries of the earth’s atmosphere and descend upon targets at lightning speed, according to the USAF.During a recent “mock up” of a B-1B weapons bay, Air Force weapons developers showed that the platform can carry as many as four hypersonic weapons internally.
“In a demo I saw recently, the bulkhead moves as its designed...when you take a CRL(Conventional Rotary Launcher) as its designed. The mock up they had was one of the larger hypersonic weapons. It will be able to carry four or more hypersonic weapons internally. You can see the merit of that,” Gen. Timothy Ray, Commander, Air Force Global Strike Command, told reporters at the Air Force Association conference
The United States long range air platforms are centered around the B 52, a high altitude bomber which is capable of performing earth hugging flying as a cruise missile. The B 1 Lancer which is a cruise missile capable of flying in the stratoshere, and the B 2 a stealth missile of slow speeds.
What the K bombs require are high altitude performance in order to deliver the bomb payloads from on high, to reach the incredible speeds necessary to generate atomic bomb energy releases, using gravity instead.
What is being created are expanded bomb bays on the B 1 to be able to launch 16 to 24 of these hypersonic warheads on 4 to 6 platforms. These will be precision weapons, which no bunker could be deep enough to guard against, and will be absolutely clean, unless they detonate nuclear weapons in their silos or bunkers.
It is the ultimate weapon in a first strike non nuclear launch, which could detonate nuclear weapons in their lairs, thereby gaining the pollution which makes nuclear weapons so attractive.
To understand the hypersonic compression detonation of a nuclear warhead, these K bombs would strike with such a pressure wave, which would compress the atomic material, which in turn would detonate the material.

The Pentagon is purchasing 100 B 21's, but on that margin, consider 100 current platforms on one weapon's run, capable of of delivering K Bombs in grid of 1600, precision non nuclear weapon size explosions. It would be feasible in this pattern to obliterate 40 mile by 40 mile sections of an enemy's population, industrial and military sectors.
The K Bomb in water is amplified to even greater extremes of energy transfer. It would be the end of atomic submarine warfare if the platforms could all be tracked.
Given a week of round the clock bombing, the entire military capability of China would be neutralized and a massive meltdown of the civil sector would be initiated. Russia would require 3 weeks before being obliterated as a military and commercial threat, as they are more self reliant of people than the Chinese who have no resources.
The only response to this perfect clean weapon is the Cobalt bomb, a thermonuclear device of 5 years lethality, to MAD in warding off an attack. It would be impossible even with Star Trek technologies to defend against 1000 projectiles as the systems would deplete and burn out before the projectiles were neutralized.
It would require 5000 bombs to accomplish a mission target in World War II. In Vietnam with carpet bombing, the number would be 1000. In the Iraq War, JDAMS in precision bombing required one of the iron bombs. With K Bombs, one warhead at speed will shatter sections of cities or wipe out divisions of armies.
This is 21st century warfare, and what makes it attractive is it is clean warfare without radiation, poison or germ. That is the Catch 22 now in the WMD boogeymen, are the threat of use to answer these doomsday weapons, but that Catch 22 would be the reality of dirty weapons being used on nations only holding this empty bag.
War has become Newton's apple falling from the tree. An entirely non explosive warfare, but a lethal weapon where gravity and mass times speed, make this the ultimate weapon.
