Lord Teach Us To Pray For Victory

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

I perceive that all of you reading this, save the few, will be ready to jump right in, and expect God to pick up His sword and kill all of our enemies, because you said the magic words. That is how Cain prayed and he ended up bashing in his brother's skull, because God accepted Faith instead of arrogance.

Psalm 20 of King David is the Old Testament's Lord's Prayer. It is a militant prayer in militant times. It is prayer which commands and invokes from the first verses as a blessing and empowerment of speaking an outcome which is desired

It is a prayer like Christ's which reminds that all comes from God granting outcomes because of His Goodness. It is a prayer that reminds that the shouts of our hearts are to enjoin like the trumpets before Jericho when our Flag is lifted up before the Lord as a pledge of Faith that THIS IS FOR OUR GOD.

This victory is not for everyone. King David defines this as the Lord's Anointed, that is those Anointed in His Spirit. George Washington was such an anointed American who was Faithful when all seemed lost, but in the epic defeats, Washington grew in Spirit and Faith, trusting the Lord with the outcome for the deliverance which began in 1776.

A Prayer for Victory

20 1  [1]May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. 2  May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion. 3  May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings. 4  May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. 5  May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests.

6  Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand. 7  Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. 8  They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm. 9  Lord, give victory to the king! Answer us when we call!

The last verse is a prayerful commanding request. God give victory to the King who is God's and God answer His children when we call. God give us His leader. God go into action when we call Him, when we are not abusing His Name in cursing things in anger or spewing it out during sex.

Remember that.

Nuff Said.
