Rest from this Wicked World

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

The Law of God is a two edged sword of promise for both the Saint and the sinner. Scripture declares there is no rest of the wicked and St. Paul, Inspired by the Holy Ghost repeats the Word of God which promises those who defy God's Law, that they will never become what they will and they will never be able to enjoy what they have.

In the Letter to the Hebrews, the ancestors of Americans and the Peoples of the West, the Holy Ghost revisits the Promise of God, that the wicked will never have rest, but those that are Protestant Christians have received this Gift from God. Paul exhorts all Christians to not let this Gift slip through our fingers, for the only Way to obtain this rest is by Faith in believing Jesus is the Salvation and Redeemer, the only begotten Son of God.

Jesus is Thee Only, Way, Truth and Life. No one comes to the Father, but through Him. For only by Christ as the Word of God, in hearing this Word, accepting this Word as Salvation, washed and regenerated by the Holy Ghost, will we be saved.
There is no other Name, given among mankind, by which we can be saved. Christ the Creator is Covenant owner of all, and only by His Authority will His possessions be saved.

Jesus is that Word. He illuminates all He touches and His revelation of Life, either sprouts the Spirit of God in the soul of mankind or it reveals a deadly darkness which will never bring life, for it is the spiritual death of the toxic adversary.

satan has blinded most of the human population into thinking they are wonderful, that they can trust in their things, their intellect, their power. It is a conscience killing salve which once administered renders a person who is willing to the deception of satan, that they do not need God. The fear and loathing which most liberals gnash at themselves and Christians proves they still are aware of their deadly sins, but they fight for satan to exist in that chaos and turmoil, as they are afraid God will never accept them ,and they hate those that God has accepted. The sinner will not submit where the Righteous have submitted in trusting God at His Word, that God accepts all who accept Him and work to transform their lives to a goodness, not as the world defines good, for the world is wicked and evil compared to the Goodness of God. Only Christ can cleanse a person and make them presentable to the Holy Ghost and enter into the family of God.

Christ is our Thought from God in God's Love, Mercy and Grace. He came to prepare us for God and has worked since the fall of Adam and Eve for every person to come back to God. It is the Promise that Jesus would redeem us, which Abraham believed in, it is the promise St. John believed in, in witnessing Jesus redemption and it is each of our redemption in Christ redeemed us, that by Faith all will be saved.

 Hebrews

4 1  For as long, then, as that promise of resting in him pulls us on to God's goal for us, we need to be careful that we're not disqualified. 2  We received the same promises as those people in the wilderness, but the promises didn't do them a bit of good because they didn't receive the promises with faith. 3  If we believe, though, we'll experience that state of resting. But not if we don't have faith. Remember that God said, Exasperated, I vowed, "They'll never get where they're going, never be able to sit down and rest." 4  Somewhere it's written, "God rested the seventh day, having completed his work," 5  but in this other text he says, "They'll never be able to sit down and rest." 6  So this promise has not yet been fulfilled. Those earlier ones never did get to the place of rest because they were disobedient. 7  God keeps renewing the promise and setting the date as today, just as he did in David's psalm, centuries later than the original invitation: Today, please listen, don't turn a deaf ear . . . 8  And so this is still a live promise. It wasn't canceled at the time of Joshua; otherwise, God wouldn't keep renewing the appointment for "today." 9  The promise of "arrival" and "rest" is still there for God's people. 10  God himself is at rest. And at the end of the journey we'll surely rest with God.

11  So let's keep at it and eventually arrive at the place of rest, not drop out through some sort of disobedience. 12  God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon's scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. 13  Nothing and no one is impervious to God's Word. We can't get away from it - no matter what. The High Priest Who Cried Out in Pain

Jesus the Great High Priest

14  Now that we know what we have - Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God - let's not let it slip through our fingers. 15  We don't have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He's been through weakness and testing, experienced it all - all but the sin. 16  So let's walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help.

Jesus experienced everything and more. His brothers did not believe Who He was. The government and religion hunted him. He was betrayed by friends. His followers fled from him. He was beaten almost to death and then humiliated by public execution. Jesus loved His family and friends and watched them die. He denied Himself what humans are drawn to in a companion and did not engage lust. When it is stated that Jesus faced the same emotions you have and He faced more and did so without sinning, this is the Christ who does not Judge you yet, but the Christ having left a world full of Bibles, a West full of Churches and clergy, the freedom to worship Him, the liberty to know Him, who is there daily calling to every person to come back to God and His rest. Rejecting that, Judgment will take place and rejecting that peace, brings an existence here of unrest

Our immediate rest in Christ is delivered from wickedness and the constant turmoil in our hearts and minds involved in that evil. Being secure we are free to grow in the nurture and admonition of the Gospel to reveal that peace to others by our good example. This mortal rest is one of service and work, which grows us to Glorify God and brings to us Spiritual treasures in Heaven which are eternal. It is in Heaven that the enternal Rest in Life eternal will be the peace from God which is forever.

This world has been overflowed with those who invest all their efforts into work, money, drugs, sex, hobbies, religion and all it brings them is death as it never fulfills them. It leaves them empty and hollows out deeper making them even more dead inside.  It does take effort for the sinner, for Spiritual growth is exhausting in even a few words of prayer as they are vegetative in an existence of being void of God. If they would just invest a few moments each day, with the schedule of it being more time each day, from a few words to God, to a verse in the Bible, they would grow and find in them this wonderful Gift, which would satisfy them, and please them the more they grew in this Word.

It is there for everyone while they are yet in this world before the return of Christ. It is greater than winning the lottery, and all they need to do is pick up the ticket of Christ and redeem it.
