As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.
I regret in my mission and my office what you my children squander in I relish studying the Word of God, as in these posts of St. Paul's Letter to the Hebrews. For while it is the most intensive of work in writing lessons by the Holy Ghost, I always am delighted in what the Holy Ghost is going to reveal to me and through me. I never pre plan any of this, What you are reading is not edited, it flows from me onto this page through the Prophetic keyboard and brings new revelations in our time.
What made the Spirit in me leap was the verses of 8 and 9.
Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him
Jesus is thee only begotten son of God, but was also the ward of Joseph who the world thought of as his father. What is of relevance in Jesus taking on our character as people, is that He learned obedience. That is not to say he was ever disobedient, but character was grown in Him. So when St. Paul says Jesus was made perfect in what He suffered, it does not mean he was ever imperfect, but instead the true character of Him was perfected in Him. He as self disciplined, self governed, so His entire purpose was to always be in the Will of the Father.
Jesus prayers were heard not because they were fervent, but because of the reverence in which He prayed to the Father. Reverence, means Christ esteemed the Attributes and Laws of God, honoring and glorifying with His entire heart, not out of fear, but what overcomes fear, perfect Love.
All of us think we are born experts and should have our hands at the controls. Jesus was not born the High Priest of our Faith and Salvation in offering up Himself as the complete payment for our rebellion against God, but through years, His character moulded Him into the Christ who fulfilled the Father's mission for Him completely.
Self governance and self discipline are two realities which each of us fail at. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, but our absolute thinking we can handle everything from sin to just doing enough to get by with God proves how absolutely most of us are never ready for any kind of power.
Remember this order of High Priests which Christ instituted and fulfilled. The King of Salem or Peace. The very essence of nothing out of place or nothing disturbed, the complete harmony, which only matured Faith will manifest in a Christian Protestant.
5 1 Every high priest is selected from among the people and is appointed to represent the people in matters related to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. 2 He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness. 3 This is why he has to offer sacrifices for his own sins, as well as for the sins of the people. 4 And no one takes this honor on himself, but he receives it when called by God, just as Aaron was. 5 In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father."[1] 6 And he says in another place, "You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek."[2] 7 During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. 8 Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him
10 and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
The Danger of Slothfulness and Apostasy
11 We have much to say about this, but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand. 12 In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! 13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. 14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
None of us start out eating steak out of the womb or seven course dinners. Ours is the reality of milk from the breast of our mother. It is only through maturing Spiritually do any of us grow to the service of others. That is the reality of the High Priest, in He serves all, not all serve Him. That is the first lesson in power and position, in the more Gifts God provides you, is the more service which is mandated from you and is expected by the Father. So thinking you are ready for power, is the first check in you have not matured enough to comprehend that with great position, great service is required. That reality is sour to most people, so they covet the prestige, the money, the fame, and fail in it, by only serving themselves or vainly scattering themselves before swine who have no understanding of the offering, as they look at service as just another whore to use, misuse and abuse.
In reality, God takes from those who have. Few fortunes last past the grandchildren as they are unfit for the work of those who collected that, stored it up and they failed in providing it to further make Spiritual life better for all they touch.
For those who desire to be followers of Christ, the first submission is they serve willingly, God and others, and if they chafe at that harness, it only proves that they have not the character for the coming power in the Crown of Life which Christ gives.
