Russian Research

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

With the delivery of the Russian doomsday submarine Belgorod, what the Lame Cherry is most interested in, is the ominous explanation that this submarine is for research. That is clever in Moscow as this indicates that the research being undertaken is not launching these nuclear torpedoes, but in installing these torpedoes where they can be later activated for first strike or first retaliation.

Meet you on the other side.

Russia flexes muscles to intimidate the West. Putin just delivered what is being called a “doomsday” submarine that is capable of launching massive nuclear torpedoes to the Russian Navy.

This come on the heels of Russia’s threats of nuclear war against anyone who is an opponent of Russia’s war in Ukraine.

The Russian news agency TASS reported that shipbuilders at the Sevmash Shipyard had made the delivery of Project 09852 special-purpose submarine Belgorod to the Russian Navy. The vessel is a modified 508-foot-long version of the Soviet-designed Oscar-class submarine.

It has been designed to carry and deploy up to six 80-foot nuclear-armed weapons known as the Status-6 Oceanic Multipurpose System “Poseidon.” NATO has been referring to it as Kanyon.

According to U.S. Naval Institute News, the Poseidon torpedoes are estimated to carry 100 megaton nuclear warheads. They could be launched against enemy shorelines and detonate against enemy coastal cities.

These weapons could also be used to create tidal waves that flood massive areas of land. The potential for disaster is what has given this vessel the title “doomsday.” But Russia media is simply calling it a “research vessel.”

According to TASS, the Russian shipbuilders said, “On July 8, 2022, a special ceremony was held at the Sevmash Production Association, Russia’s largest shipbuilding enterprise, to sign a certificate of the acceptance/delivery of the Belgorod research submarine to the Navy.”

Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Nikolay Yevmenov said, “The submarine Belgorod opens new opportunities for Russia in holding various researches and helps carry out diverse scientific expeditions and rescue operations in remote areas of the World Ocean.

“There is no way to stop this underwater drone,” Russian state television host Dmitry Kiselyov said. “The explosion of this thermonuclear torpedo close to Britain’s coast will cause a gigantic wave tsunami wave up to 500 meters (1,640 feet) high,” Kiselyov said. “This wave also carries extreme doses of radiation. Having passed over the British Isles, it will turn whatever might be left of them into a radioactive desert unfit for anything for a long time.”

These torpedoes have an extensive range. That would not be necessary as this submarine could launch within Continental Shelf proximities. Yes this sub could hide in deep trenches in the ocean, but the capability is still available to track them, even if the Russians have proven stealth in surfacing in American waters in surprise visits.

8 torpedoes will not change the outcome of a war. Yes damaging 8 harbors or Naval yards in America would cause long term war problems in a nuclear war, but the logical projection of this platform is not a fleet of submarines, but instead a submarine which is laying nuclear eggs all over the ocean which can launch upon activation. A thousand such torpedoes would obliterate the populations and ability to make supply and war by NATO.

The Russians have been mapping the ocean for decades. This is a fail safe delivery device and Russia will begin seeding torpedoes where no one can ever find them all.
