The much spoken of Kiev Nazi Spring Offensive, in Kiev "softening" up Russia, ran into blunt force trauma on May Day when the Russian Air Force performed Shock and Awe on the Ukrainian Nazis.
In recent days, both Russia and Ukraine have seemingly ramped up long-range attacks against each other, with the uptick in military activities coming ahead of the long-advertised Ukrainian counteroffensive
The purpose of preparing a battlefield is to bomb and shell staging areas where the enemy is assembled in order to be able to blow holes in their lines and advance. Instead of Kiev performing basic military doctrine, it has been Russia which has masterfully preparing the battlefield in Ukraine in blowing up fuel depots, weapon depots and as of May Day, obliterating the Nazi surface to air missile defenses.
While the Nazi's still have manpads in Ukraine to shoot down Russian airforces close to the field, the entire reality is Russia dominates the perimeter skies around Ukraine, as that is where this Shock and Awe was sent from. It is marvelous to watch a modern military evolve in using long range weapon platforms of large bombers and couple them with drone precision strikes. Russia is conducting a clinic in how not to lose expensive bombers or people, and using cheap drones, while their heavy bombers fly safely out of range.
None of this is to say that Russia is 100% successful as 'hitting" all targets does not mean destroying all targets. Drones and light cruise missiles are not capable of destroying heaving facilities or larger complexes. That requires 2000 pound bombs or hypersonic missiles.
The reality in all of this in what the Lame Cherry has been observing is, Russia seems to have cut off the strategic necessity for a Nazi offensive, and that is fuel. Russia has been blowing up ground force fuel depots and in this latest strike, blew up the airborne fuel depots. NATO and pump all the billion dollar super weapons into Ukraine, but if there is not enough fuel (There was not enough before) and now with these series of strikes, there is not going to be enough to press a counteroffensive to maintain it, all that heavy equipment is going to be either not moved or run out of fuel after a day of operations. That does not make for an advance.
