Americans are smart asses. Abraham Lincoln was one of the biggest smart asses in the world and he pissed those intellectual pointy head aristocrats of America off non stop for his constant smart ass remarks which is the pure blood of Western Americans.
American humor broke over the Appalachians with the the Scotts and Irish and then moved to the German progression west of immigration. These were Christian Protestants of Methodist, Lutherans and whatever, and as their valve to deal with horrendous hurts in life, learned to laugh and make the worst cutting remarks about any situation.

He honestly closed his eyes and moved his body in humor as he loved that wise crack.
The throwing of people into prison for satire or memes they never created like Ricky Vaughn was a dark episode in America. When you had comics on the left being targeted, they finally got the reality that the things they promoted and thought were great in attacks on people were not so great when it came back on them. Monty Python in England helped create this monster and they got burned.
President Donald Trump has returned a great gift to Americans. He is very good at biting humor and satire. He loves trolling people. He relishes getting even. He has returned the right to laugh to Americans in all of it's forms and he laughs when he has a comic mimicking him as Mr. Trump is funny in his personality.
I sincerely hope that these "comics" propped up on media who are nothing but hateful leftists are purged by the media which is all propped up by the government in Mockingbird as we really need to be shown laughter again in how Americans do it, and not this mean shit that has been going on where Elvis Costello is booting some George Bush doll on the stage of Jimmy Kimmel and the left laughs at this disturbing psychopathy and they think nothing is wrong when Sean Penn was using a cig to burn an Ann Coulter doll's genitals. The left has been in propaganda too long against America like Norman Lear in Archie Bunker or that warped Allan Alda on MASH. None of that was funny, except to those who hated America.
