I'm actually surprised in a way in the absolute lack of knowledge there is concerning the switch from analog to digital broadcast that is about to paralyze major portions of the United States.
I have an exclusive here for the World Net Daily to DailyKos webmasters only from this website that there are going to be huge numbers of disgruntled Americans concerning broadcast television as the geniuses in Washington have absolutely no knowledge over what they did in mandating these new digital signals.
Most people reading this have high speed internet. They might remember what it was like in the old days of copper wire land lines how it used to be listening to internet radio when you would get packets of information in the 0101010 information transfer and have bursts of Jeff Rense or Art Bell as the program was interrupted.
It will be for television exactly the same measure, exactly like the cell phone, "Can you hear me now", as coverage just is not up to meeting the standards of digital broadcast.
The above woman is a perfect example of how digital signals react in the real world. If one lives in direct line with a broadcast signal, you get crystal clear pictures. If though it rains, large flocks of birds, trees, dust, snow etc.... get into the signal path, then one observes the watercolor effect as the information packets bleed out.
If one lives a greater distance from the broadcast tower, then weak signals cause blank screens or the coming ominous "NO SIGNAL" response.
This can all be magnified by mountains, forests, major weather systems to where fringe areas which used to at least get a form of television will have nothing but Vietnamese artwork on the digital PBS stations speaking Vietnamese.
People in rural areas are going to be very frustrated as it really is a Gitmo test of torture to sit and watch a program for 45 seconds and then having it wink out due to the digital packet being lost. Moments will pass, the picture will return frozen and then it will blur, run it's feed, and then the signal will be lost again.
The local television broadcasters are already suffering from irate calls and emails from what I can gather and it is going to be worse as people in rural areas start figuring out they just got screwed over.
High atop the Rocky Mountain sub chain of my Citadel, I have been experimenting without building the million dollar transformers necessary to observe cause and effect. It will be simply easier observing the system going on line and people's reactions than in building a pre grade system to ascertain what should be a logical prediction.
People need to understand that "broadcast" is still going to be utilizing VHF and UHF. They also need to understand the basics of radio waves are indeed fluid waves. UHF wave can be thought of like a copper wire as it stiffly bends over the landscape, but not reaching into corners of valleys, canyons and mountains, which is America.
VHF is more like a rubber band in it will stretch and maintain signal which most people will remember as that horrid television reception of long distance channels. The point being though that at least the fluidity of the wave allowed one to see at least an image and hear a voice instead of a NO SIGNAL.
The digital feed in packets though is like an icicle. It does not bend. It runs in straight lines and in UHF it really winks out to the curvature of the earth and in VHF it bends slightly more in "coverage area", but outside the areas which Citizens have been pulling in long distance signals to be able to get CBS, NBC, FOX and ABC, they are going to be seeing a broken signal to NO SIGNAL.
Considering most of these people do not pay for antennae reception, this is going to be a huge problem as they can not afford the $300 to $1000 a year just to watch television from satellite or cable.
With this constriction in the economy already ticking the rural dwellers off with high fuel prices as they had to driver farther than most people last year being burdened, it is not going to be a pleasant place in the flyover country this coming year.
Broadcasters are going to be finding out huge chunks of revenue in advertising will disappear as they can not charge for viewers who are not getting their signal anymore.
As stated, I have waited for someone who gets paid huge amounts of money to speak to these issues and except for Rush Limbaugh making cryptic remarks, no one has addressed these issues in the least, apparently as none of them have a clue to what they are doing for a living and have no engineering backgrounds in ever building a miniature radio or tearing one apart.
I will though pose a plus minus mathematical problem which all can solve.
First, are poor people and people not connected with power behind this transfer of analog to digital?
Ok so it is the connected people with allot of money driving this beyond local big market television stations worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
Second, these analog signals are they being sold or disappearing?
No one is addressing that except for ludicrous remarks these analog signals are necessary for emergency use.
As no one in law enforcement nor fire rescue has complained about this in the least, then obviously this is a cover story as someone in power wants these analog signals for their own purposes.
I will note as no one is buying them, that these public signals which are owned by the American Citizens have just been confiscated by "someone". That is a very multi trillion dollar present someone just gave themselves.
So what are they going to do with these radio wave frequencies?
One could note that just as one can see above digital patterns can be created in blocks, so can broadcast packages be infused with light and sound stimuli to influence and program the human mind in digital.
In the analog, as humans are quite the little metal stockpiles, it would be possible to aim radio signals at them to make them more docile.
The frequency in this would not show up in any television reception as if these "radio signals" for emergency use are not going to be showing up on your television, there can be broadcasts being carried on in plain sight, but not seen.
Those of course are nefarious possibilities. It could just be greed for communication giants about to Dick Tracy their way into more cool wrist watch radios.
It could also be a sign for a national defense grid using these waves as a sort of disruption shield for nuclear missiles.
It could also be as the Washington types are stating in they are going to require massive bandwidth for a national emergency in a communications meltdown. The only events which would cause such an event would be a natural solar pulse burst of gamma or a man made burst caused in nuclear vaporization of several United States cities or a global nuclear exchange.
The point in this is, someone wants these analog radio waves and is costing the American taxpayers a fortune, is suckering large numbers of viewers out of their signals, is causing huge problems for television broadcasters who have a mandate to operate in the public's good and no one is explaining one bit of this, which means completely that something is being hidden from the Citizens.
The net result is if enough Americans get furious over this, broadcasters have enough problems, that they are going to be speaking to Congress, who will then under Democrats have to come up with another trillion dollar bailout to fix a system which was operating just fine, before someone decided to take the analog and dump an inferior digital signal onto the public.
This television bailout would require a greater number of low power broadcast towers in more locations just as cell phone towers are now popping up, as even higher power UHF signals just do not bend into the curvatures of the earth to bring television to everyone.
The powers have been so worried about converting people over they have spent a fortune in advertising. Now it has been pushed back to the summer, but that is not going to solve the problem of the digital signal reaching into areas it just can not. The government can not make a light shine around a corner no more than it can make a digital pack bend into some valleys or canyons which in analog had problems of too much bending in signals of other more distant stations riding in on the local station.
Now you know what was causing that too.
When it comes to nuclear radiation, that energy packet no bending around corners is a good thing as it keeps people from radiation poisoning hiding behind angles. In television though it is a bad thing as all you get is a blank screen.
Well that is about it. I will thank God for the Inspiration and close up the shop for now as I worked on this more than the government and all the million dollar children playing as pundits.
Someday the real reasons will be made public, but for now soon day numbers of people are going to loose most of their television stations.
Xin chào, perhaps you can learn to speak Vietnamese too now that your television is set to PBS torture.
