Jessie Benton Fremont

Some Ladies in this world are timeless. They are like a perpetual sunset in beauty. The moon of the rules the night in an effervescent glow of starshine.
She is all seasons in spring of joy, summer of warmth, autumn of color and winter in freshness.
Her character, her virtue, her being is that Breath of the Psalms of the Holy Spirit.

I would like to introduce to you someone I adore from the first moment she graced my life and I have been a champion of her's on bended knee, for whatever Jessie Ann Benton desired, there was no need to question it's rightness, for she was always pure an right.

She was born the 31st of May, 1834, and her father was a United States Senator. She was pure American in quality like all American born women are. That rare translucent quality which is the rainbow of God's Promise for all who behold her.

Some might remember her husband in Col. John Charles Fremont who liberated California from the Mexican Empire and joined California to the United States after epic battles.
The great explorer would find turmoil at every turn of his life from the weak which always inhabit great lands, but Jessie Fremont would endure.

The greatest example of the quality she attracted was that noble Scottish American, whose name still graces the best of Scouts in the United States military in Christopher Kit Carson. Kit was Jessie's friend and Jessie was his friend from the wilds of America to the halls of power of Washington, DC.
That was who this Lady was in moving through circles of the greatest names of America whether gentleman or frontiersman.

What I desire to share about this most wonderful of Ladies of America is a hidden story which most do not know and it's moral lesson in God's Providence is as fitting today for the venom tongued as it is was for the culprit who is stained in history for his part in it.

See like with all great Americans of honor, Ronald Reagan, Sarah Palin, there is always an ilk which raises up with hatred for them, because they can never measure up to their American standard.
The Guidon of an American flies forever in the breeze to inspire, but for some, it brings about a coward's slander as they try to pull down what God has arisen for His people.

Such was the case for Col. Fremont in he attracted attacks upon him which were without merit or mercy from the jealous. During this period, the beloved Jessie was with child and the heat of attacks grew so persistent, especially by one certain malcontent, that the continued stress caused her to loose the baby.
Jessie always blamed this person and the world knew the Truth of it in his hand in the death of this child of God out of pure venom.

In God's time and vengeance though the tides of battle turned. The detractor was soon enough stricken in middle America with a malady and was reaching his end.
It was at that time his venom turned into pleading as he sent dispatches begging for Jessie Benton Fremont to come to him so he could beg her forgiveness as he was about to meet the Judge of all in Christ.

What a horrid thing and situation that was for anyone to put an innocent party through out of their own guilt. Begging a Lady who was still mourning the death of her child, still recuperating from the stress of the pregnancy and still wounded by all the slander heaped upon her and her husband, and this miscreant had the audacity to beg a wounded heart to face the murderer of her child, just so he could take something from her in forgiveness, so he wouldn't have to face judgment for his heinous acts.

I consider it the greatest of character and a caring God's Love in He had Jessie stay at her home and let this creature face his end alone, on his sinful terms and did not stress her more, so Jessie might have died too.

It must have been a heavy burden to have this rapine placed on her virtue and nothing a Christian Lady should ever have to face, because one's self appointed enemies should not thrust themselves into the innocent's life requesting anything of them.

So there is no moral to this story, but just the fact that God avenged a Mother and her child. It was swift and it was just.

Mrs. Fremont would live until 1902 in the California her husband helped birth into the United States, all graced from the state of her nativity in Missouri.
She was the immortal wife and is the immortal American.

In this era, it is necessary to remind all how many wonderful people Americans have been blessed with as their kindred and family. They are the most noble and endearing of race. They are who I love with the deepest of affections.

So many remarkable Americans alive in heaven and alive on earth, so little space to note them all.

Jessie Ann Benton Fremont, the cream of the majesty of America. No titles necessary. She is beauty in being American.
